My daughter just turned 1 and My nephew just turned 2. I am into the 3rd wk of wathcing him. He does nothing but scream for mom and dad all day long I take him with us to my moms club a playgroup his age , story time lots of park time. He does it so loud that my daughter begins to cry. As the wks go by it has become worse instead of better. The first wk he only did it right after being droped off. The second week he began doing it at every transition. ex: We would leave stroy time and arive at playgroup then he would begain crying for his parents and this last week he is now upgraded to a full on all day scream. Also he has tantrems when he asks to be carried , he doesn't like to walk anrywhere and I am already caring my daughter that doesn't walk. So I have to tell him no Then he drops down on his back and kicks and screams for his parents once again ( they carry him everywhere) he is there baby. I don't know what to do. I hate to send him back to day care.

Before her stroke she did not have that problem. I have asked my mom the reason for the light but she does not have an answer except that she wants a light on. I also have an aunt who had a stroke and sleeps with a light on.

my son is 15 months old.....just 2 weeks ago, he was just a regular kid, he played during the day, took a nap around noon and played some more...but now he won't take a nap....he's hyper all the time, just bouncing off the walls....it's like he's had a lot caffiene or sugar or something....if i call him or say his name, he acts as if he doesn't hear me, he doesn't respond at all to his name.....others have even told me that they see a difference in his behavior....it's not a bad thing, but i'm wondering if he might have ADD

Me and my husband are trying to potty train our 2 1/2 year old boy and have hit a little bump in the road. My son caught on to going #1 really quick but for some reason he doesn't go #2 though...if we ask him "where does poo-poo go?" he'll say "in the potty". We also ask him "what do you say if you need to go poo-poo?" & he'll tell us "Momma/Daddy, I need to poo-poo..." but when it comes to actually doing it, he never does. I'm trying not to just sit him on the potty until he goes because he gets very irritated and fussy. Does anyone have any advice on this? (I dont know if this means anything, but he goes #1 standing up...)

She decided to stop drinking fluids! She use to love her vanilla soy milk and I had to make sure she didn't drink it too often. Now suddenly I have the opposite problem! She only takes a few sips at a time and probably averages 1 cup of fluids at the most. I have tried every kind of sippy cup and type of drink I can think of. I don't understand what is going on.. is this normal?
Also, she doesn't eat as much either. I am not as concerned with that as the drinking though because I feel like she eats an ok-enough amount.
Now, normally I would think this was an end of a growth spurt phase. But she has also been sleeping a lot more! I just don't understand all these changes at the same time.
Any advice??

How can I make this new and unknown experience as pleasant as possible? Do I sit my baby on my lap or use a booster seat? Do they have special scissors with protective tips in case baby makes sudden movements while the scissors are close to his head? Thanks... worried Mom.

We go to Chuck E. Cheese's and McDonald's all the time during the winter. Hopefully it won't be to long and the snow will be completely melted and the mud will not be so muddy. Anyways what are some extra special things to go do with a young child, that is preferably in doors? We live in the Northern Midwest, if that helps.

some children came to my house for my sons birthday party. My husband is the one that knows the children mother, because she is like an aunt to my husband. The little boy was playing the game and when they went home i notice it was gone. I asked my husband to go get it from them and they denied it and you know that really hurt me so much because its my childs what should i do. I really don't want them to come anymore.

my daughter just turned one. We were taking a trip to pick up her birthday cake about 1/2 hr away. she started to throw up in the car on the way home
she threw up 3 or 4 times.. When i got home i called her doctor and she said that it could have been motion sickness. My feeling is she is too young for that. When we got home we started her on pedialite and water she held that down, and no fever.
then she had some jello, and pasta for dinner all that she held down. So my question is motion sickness or stomach bug??? Her big 1 st birthday is tom should i cancell it??

Every once in a while my son cries when I put him to bed. Everyone tells me that he goes to bed so well and I even thought so too. However, once in while he cries and tries to get himself to throw up. I go in his room once to make sure he is ok then thats it. He eventually does go to sleep but, I am just wondering if anyone has any answers to why this might be going on. Does he just want us? Teething? He was a little colicky (sp) when he was a baby does that make a difference? Colic is related to gas, do you think I should be doing something? Any advice would be nice. As a first time parent sometimes I question myself and don't know if I should. Thanks to everyone who reads and helps me out.

/I'm a young mother living with my parents temporarily. My daughter's 15 months old and doesn't sleep in her bed. She doesn't go to sleep on her own either. My mom won't let me let her "cry it out" - She'll go in and get her after around 3 minutes. How can I MAKE my own mother listen to my parenting?

Something that will fill him up and hopefully make him sleep for longer periods of time, maybe even the whole night through :) because that would be wonderful and is my ultimate goal.
