This woman I work with is a total pothead, and I know for a fact she starts smoking as soon as she gets in the car to go home, does it a few times every night, and sometimes on the way to work. Basically, she's almost always high. I'm not normally anal about what people do with their lives, but the main thing here is that I work in a preschool and she is responsible for caring for about ten 2 year olds all day, that's why this bothers me. I don't feel like it's fair that these parents are dropping their kids off at our center and putting them in the care of this girl and have no idea. Do I have a right to tell my boss? The people that work around this girl all know it also, but they're all good friends, so they don't say anything.

My 2 years old is very active and loud. In fact, my landlord just told me that other tenants have complained about him yelling and being loud all day and night. This of course is an exageration, but it still concerns me. I dont want people to think bad of us as parents, he is 2 and very vocal. Any suggestions??

My (soon to be) 3 year old son runs around all day NON-STOP. I think sometimes he must have ADD or something because I don't understand how it can be normal for a kid to have that much energy? Is this normal?

I have 2 daughters 1 is 3.5 years-old and the other one is 4.5years-old. My 4.5 year-old is very hyperactive and my other daughter is always crying and winging (i wormed them) I was wondering if anyone has any arts and craft suggestions i can do with them? I have a 11week-old daughter as well so i can't always take them to the park and play as we'd have to go a fair distance. If anyone has any ideas for the home i can do with the girls i'd be much appreciated thanks.

My son is 4 years old and we did not have him circumcised at birth. His foreskin is unusually long. I'd say hangs almost 3 inches from his gland and I have notice it disrupts his urine. When he uses the toilet it sprays all over the place and I believe it is due to his long foreskin. We have not taken him to a doctor regarding this, but we are thinking about circumcising him. Are there any parents who have the same situation? What did you do about it?

I have tried the rapid return teqnique, it does not work on her.

We tried it for one week. All week we tried it and it was murder every night on the last night I returned her 250 times in one go followed by my husband for around another 100 before we had to stop as we were so tired. She finds the whole thing funny yet we dont make eye contact, we dont have the light on and we dont speak to her! What is going on I thought this was supposed to work for all children!!!

PS we have now put her back in her cot until we work out what to do!!! Thinking of stair gate on door to stop her coming out and ignoring her for short periods of time?

My son is nearly 4 years old and dinnertimes are a pain. The problem is he will not feed himself dinner. He is ok with breakfast and lunch but we have a struggle to get him to feed himself. He'll start off feeding himself, then he stops and asks us to. We don't want to as he starts school in September and want him to be independent. If we dont feed him, then he will not eat his dinner. If we ask him to feed himself, he sulks and starts to cry and says he cannot do it. He has also started to put his fingers at the back of his throat to try and be sick. ( I have no idea where he picked that up from). I'm sure he his doing this for attention but his nursery are starting to notice he does this and he gets agitated if they wont feed him.
How can I get him out of this? Its not a phase as he has always wanted us to feed him and when we have refused to he goes without dinner and either cries or sulks. Please can somebody give me an idea of what I can do as this is fustrating no end!!

My son is the messiest kid I've had yet. He will be 4 this month and still is unconcerned with making HUGE messes. Instead of getting a toy he will dump the whole box and usually refuses to pick up any mess he makes. I have tried taking ALL his toys, (he didn't care), I've tried making a game of it (only works once in awhile), I've tried telling him he can't come out of his room till it's clean (he just trashes it more), and I've tried to do a reward chart (worked more in the beginning). If I help him, he will not pick up at all, just watch me do it. This guy is bullheaded! Ant suggestions are appreciated!

My son is 3 years old and 3 months and refuses to potty. He will go willingly sometimes when I ask him to but basically has no interest. He will not ever tell me he has to go. I have tried pull-ups and underwear and he just does not care if he is wet or dry. Poop doesn't bother him either. I just don't know what to do. Will he ever be able to tell me he has to go potty?

My 3 year old daughter acts as if she doesn't like my husband when I (her mother) am around. My husband was gone for half of last year (with the Army) and he works evenings and half of every weekend now, so they have limited time together. My husband says she acts like "daddy's little girl" when I'm not around, but when I'm around, she only wants me and is very standoffish to him. I know this is hurtful to my husband. I've tried everything I know to encourage her to be kind to her daddy. I want her to WANT to spend time with him, even when I'm around. Any suggestions?!

My friend has a 4 1/2 year old who refuses to poop in the toilet. She has pull-ups that she puts her in when she tells her she needs to poop - - she goes, and they discard of the pull up.

My daughter was potty trained before 2 1/2 - and I know kids are all different, but isn't this extreme!?

My 2nd daughter is 28 mths now. Although there is a slight improvement after i enrol her in playgroup but i am still very worried. She can now willing to open her mouth to talk, but her pronounciation is not clear. We encouraged her even she said out the words not clear. By this age at least she should able to say more but she only able to say very few words. I might say she is very smart as I can see her action and her understanding is better than her sister. The only problem is her speech. I keep wondering is it still possible to wait till she reach three then i bring her to see therapy or must i bring her to see immediately. Please advice.

I am babysitting tonight, as I have done many times in the past year. The boys are 9 and 4 and the girl is 7. The older two always fight, one ends up getting mad about something dumb, like feeding the fish, and then they start hitting each other. It's almost impossible for them to go a couple hours without fighting. As for the little one, he's basically a brat...he won't share anything, and he'll hit his siblings if they don't give him what he wants. He never listens when I tell him it's time to go to bed, he'll go in his room and scream (think high pitched and LOUD), and his brother comes in and "babies" him, comforting him whenever I try to punish him. He gets angry with me when I try to stop him from doing this. I guess I have two questions. One is, what are some ideas for things to do to keep all three entertained tonight (3-4hrs)? The other is, how can I get the little one out of his habit of watching a movie while going to bed? He won't go to sleep while he watches it, and he won't not watch it. He screams if I don't let him, but if I do, he'll be awake until at least midnight, which can be frustrating for me. Thanks.
