My friend has a 4 1/2 year old who refuses to poop in the toilet. She has pull-ups that she puts her in when she tells her she needs to poop - - she goes, and they discard of the pull up.

My daughter was potty trained before 2 1/2 - and I know kids are all different, but isn't this extreme!?

For the person who asks why I care: She does it in front of my kid... and my child asks numerous questions about why she does it...it's awkward, to say the least.

Yea thats gross, it sounds like shes being lazy. At 4 1/2 she should be in pre-k or someting. My daughter was potty trained at 2 as well. She needs to take the time to teach that lil girl to poop in the toilet. Its not sanitary either. I would keep my kid away from her until she learned how to use the toilet and wash her hands afterward. GROSS!!!

Dont worry, this sick lack of parenting will have to end when she sends her daughter to school. They wont allow that. Talk about laziness! How sad that this parent wont step up and make some extra effort to save her child from this humiliation. Not to mention that it is teaching her daughter to be lazy and unhygenic, and that its ok to take the easy way out with things instead of persevering until you succeed. Sad sad. And its totally innapropriate to be changing another child who is that OLD in front of another child. At that age, it should be in private.

Kind of, but why do you care so much?
