We are in the process of moving, not far from where we used to live, but I am wondering if my son might be stressed out. He is 17 months old and I thought that he was sick because of the way he was acting, took him to the doctor and he was fine....So in your past experience did your toddlers get stressed from moving?

Usually our 13 month old is getting a bath now and going to bed at 8. He napped until 3 today and is so not ready for bed. Should I just keep him up? I want him to keep his regular time schedule.

I am getting very frustrated at dd's meals. I have posted before that she only eats the same things. I just want to know if any of you are in the same boat. I am not looking for anyone to tell me what she is eating is not healthy, I just want to know if your dc so the same thing. I have tried everything with no luck. she had her 15 month appt. a few days ago and the pedi. said all i can do is keep offering her things. I guess she use to eat nothing, so at least she eats. She will look at every food and if it is something she does not recognize...no way. here is what she eats... breakfast - usually pancakes, yogurt and some banana(the only fresh fruit she will eat is banana, she will still eat some baby food fruits) sometimes eggs, toast lunch- mac and cheese, grilled cheese and that is about it dinner - the hardest because those are the only foods she eats so I try and try things. She will eat a chicken nugget here and there. I tried the morningstar veggie nuggets because she eats no veggies...she threw it. for snacks she eats any crackers, cheese, yogurt, cereal It probably sounds like she eats a variety of things but to me it is the same thing everyday. I just want her to start eating some new things. And like I said she eats no veggies. She use to eat baby food ones now she won't even eat that. Anyone have the same kind of eating schedule?I don’t know why she won’t eat pasta and butter or pasta and sauce when she loves mac and cheese. I have tried turkey, chicken, everything… thanks, just want to know that I am not alone Debbie

My 14-month-old is allergic to eggs and milk so I have a hard time getting him the protein and fat he needs. He doesn't seem to like tofu, kidney beans or hummus. Due to his allergies, he can't have peanuts, tree nuts or seafood until he's 3 y.o. Does anyone have suggestions for how I can pump up his protein intake?

Is it wrong to make your 3 1/2 year old daughter clean her own room? By that I mean pick the toys shes drags out, before she brings out any more, help me hang up her clothes. I dont mean deep clean all be her self. Just to pick her stuff she drags out. I worked a 8 hour shift at work today and I come home, and she wants me to open up one of her games, so I go in her bedroom to do that, and I notice the room I spot cleaned yesterday, is destroyed. Thats typical 3 year old stuff. But when I told her she had to pick her the other stuff before I opened her game. She sat and cried, then calls me every 5 minutes and proceeds to ask me again. We have been playing this game for about an hour now.

I am thinking about buying my bestfriends son a powerwheel for his one year birthday now the moneys not the problem cause I spoil him, but is he too young for a little small power wheel truck that moves when he twist the handles (it doesnt have foot peddles like the usuall power wheel)and it moves slower than the average power wheels for one years olds and it says its for 12 months-36 months or do you all think its too dangerous for a one year old.

I try positive encouragement and giving him instructions step by step which result in me having to be in there for 20 min. helping him with each step (babying a bit), my husband does ultimatums which end in fights after an hour of not cleaning or crying after warnings. He feels that he's big enough to clean up by himself. Regardless, in both cases he cries and says he can't do it. We me it takes less time, but I have to help him with it each step. I tell him he can't take out too more than one set of toys at a time, but sometimes it ends up being more like 3 once the day is at an end and I've been busy with the baby. On Christmas Eve he cleaned up without us even asking, and at preschool he never argues with the teacher.

Am I asking too much? What are some suggestions?

My daughter will be 2 in April and she is still in diapers and hasn't even really shown an interest in the potty. I got her a potty seat, and she will sit on it occasionally, but she's never actually gone. I was just wondering what the normal age is for a girl to be potty trained?

My partner and I just had an argument in front of my 18 month old, we both got angry so I took my daighter and me out the room and he went out, and I started crying in front of her. I feel so bad that she had to see all that and now maybe she is feeling confused.
What can I do to make it better for her?

I am so ticked off right now that its not even funny!
I had gone to the doctor to check my knee and my son (5) was in the room and I told him to sit on the bench across from me in the room. He was sliding back and forth and the doc came in agitated and got it and told him to sit still...same as I had been. Then my son started to cry and the doc got up and grabbed his arms and said if you dont stop crying I'll give you something to cry about! WHOA! WHat? My husband came in and I told him to take my son. We leave and I am furious! No ONE has a right to do this to my son.... I called the police station and the chief ends up being his friend and brushes it off as a bad day....I called the dr office and the office manager was speechless and said she would talk to "someone" I file a complaint with the state and since the DOCTOR did not "hit or strike" my son there is nothing that can be done!!!!!!! What would you have done?

My son is 2 and is in daycare. Before daycare we never had this problem so I dont know if daycare has done this to him. The problem is when we are anywhere he SCREAMS so loud. I mean if he dont get his way he screams, if he is excited he screams. He wont stop. It is super high pitch. I've gave him timeout and told him he cant scream like that but it dont work. His daddy gives in so he dont have to hear it and I've told him that he is just hurting him in the long run. What do I do? I cant handle it, and I cant stand to take him to a public place. Like a few days ago we took him to the zoo and he would scream in the buildings and it would echo and I had people staring at me like take care of your son. I am trying so hard. What do I do?
