I left my baby in the room for only 50 minutes TOPS! and he ate a huge tub of CRISCO. He's all shiny & greasy. What's going to happen?

OKay, you have to take him to the ER. The Crisco can coat the inside of his esophagus and stomach and cause lots of problems. He will probably have to be given something that breaks up the Crisco and get it out of his system. Please go, it's important. And no, they won't take him away from you, although you might have to talk to a social worker or something. But still, it's best to do what you need to do to make sure he's okay, so take him in.

I'm sorry some post like this are hard for me to believe. I don't know if it's some poor distraught mother who didn't know any better or some weirdo guy with Cheetos dust on his fingers trying to get a rise out of everyone. Never the less I will answer it like you are a mom.

Only 50 mins? I don't leave my 2 year old alone for 5 mins. What room did you leave him in the kitchen? That may not have been the smartest choice. What if he had swallowed something like bleach? Anyway give him a good bath. He will be having tummy troubles. If it will help calm your fears call the pedi or poison control.

I agree with the previous person. DFS should take your child away. If he ate crisco, you are lucky it isn't something else. If you are willing to leave your baby alone for 50 minutes, then I bet you don't have safety locks on the cabinets. You are a neglectful parent and you need parenting classes.

That is what happens when people leave there children alone. You are lucky it is only crisco. Imagine if it was oven cleaner. If this post is really from a parent with a problem- than i hope you learned your lesson

Yucck! Kids do the craziest things. Give him a bath and expect a tummyache and some wild diarrhea. He might vomit as well if he hasn't done that already. Otherwise, not much else will happen. Here is the poison control number. post it near the phone (800) 222-1222. sounds like you will need it.

Give him a bath. Any crisco that doesn't wash off will make his skin nice and soft. He might have tummy troubles, but they'll pass.

Get Ready for the Bottom End to EXPLODE
The child will most likely have an upset tummy
Good Luck

EWWWW! That sounds like something my 2 would do! I am expecting more got in the general area than in him! I would make sure you have plenty of Diapers/Toilet paper because it is going to come out....with force LOL

You actually may have to bathe him in dish detergent first then follow up with the kids stuff....something is going to have to cut through the grease

Best of luck!!

Why would you leave your baby alone? If this is real, you dont deserve to be raising a child. Are you sure your not a bored 12 yr old?

Honestly, DFS is going to take your child away. Posts like this bother me...because there are people who have REAL things going on that want answers and then people like you get on and post made up junk like this!

If you really left your kid alone in the kitchen for an hour....you are a bad and neglectful parent. Seriously. I hope no one else answers this question thinking it is a legitimate one....
