I'm gonna agree with Timex. I bought a ten dollar Timex at Wal-Mart in 2003, and wore it every day for about three years. I only stopped wearing it because the metal coloring started to fade. It still works just fine, and it has been through a LOT. I worked at a fast food restaurant for the whole time I wore it, and washed many, many, many dishes with it on without any problem or ever having to replace the battery (it's water resistant, btw.)
