I like the store brands better than the name brand pull-ups. They seem to fit better and if they do have an accident, they are a bit more absorbent (and better for bedtime!) than Pull-ups. I am in Texas and our HEB store brand are the ones that I prefer. I have used the store brand from Target and Wal-Mart on with my daughter with no problems.
Good luck with the potty training!

Pull ups often have something in them that will give children really bad rashes, and the generic ones are the worst. Now if your child has not problem with bottom sensitivity then you will probably be OK. I would suggest the wall mart white cloud brand, they do work.

However, you could go for the training pant instead the cloth ones, but being it is getting close to summer it might be a bad idea.

Huggies is the best brand I think, but my son could not wear any of them because of his sensitivity to the absorbant material in them. He has a developemental delay and so we opted to go through medicade to get what we needed and till this day he still uses pull ups bought through a med supply store.

So ther you have it. Also you could do what a lot of people do, just use the diapers you have now and take them off and put your child on the potty, a lot of children have been trained that way. There is no harm in it.

I tried generic diapers and they really couldn't cut it for me, except for the Costco brand, Kirkland. They are very much like Huggies but cost less. When you go to buy diapers anywhere, any kind, look at the price per diaper, usually it will say on the price listing on the rack. Sometimes Costco even has the Huggies for cheaper than the Kirkland. I understand your pain, I had three in diapers for 6 months after my daughter was born (she is now 22 months), and for the last 16 months have had 2 in diapers, but now I'm down to one because my son, who is now 3, finally got potty trained! I'm so excited! But I've been buying the Costco diapers since my oldest 2 children were both in diapers. Of course, then you have to pay about $50/year for the Costco membership.

Target pull ups are great, but NOT for overnight. I used the cheapies during the day, and used the pull-up brand overnight pull ups for nighttime... they do NOT leak. The pull-up brand are more expensive, but its worth it. No 3am bed changing/sleepy toddler bath needed, and one pack lasts almost a month when only using 1 a day.

For my 2 older children I used wal-mart's brand of pull ups. Both my children got rashes from actual pull ups thats why i used the generic ones. The wal-mart ones work realy well.

I tried the generic brands and I hated them. I think with things like this you get what you pay for. My favorite pull ups are the ones with the Disney Princess's (Huggies). They have tear down sides for major #2 accidents. And for false alarms they can re-attach on the sides. The cheap ones can't re-attach on the sides. Good Luck.

I bought the ones from Sam's club(my in-laws have a membership) They are just like Huggies pull-ups, except the cars on the front are cheap knock-offs of the ones from the movie. My son cannot tell the difference!

I use white cloud from walmart. I tried the expensive brands and they were no better so why spend the money? We are still working on night training for my daughter. My daughter gets rashes from not wiping well. the pullups have the re-attachable sides so I open it like a diaper to put ointment on her, it's not so messy that way.
