If she still has a temperature after 2 days of antibiotics, something is wrong. It could be that she has another illness (possibly a virus) on top of the strep. Or, the antibiotic is not working. The wheeziness is a little alarming, too. Does she have asthma? Call your Pediatrician immediately and ask to have the doctor paged. You may have to take her to the hospital to get an IV, just to assure she does not dehydrate.

Good luck to you mom. And remember to always trust your mommy instincts!

Oh my..... I would definitely get her in to the Dr. or if you don't want to wait take her to the ER! Seriously! I have 2 kids, 11/2 and 3. My 3 year old got really sick when he was about a year old, just as you are describing, and his Pediatrician kept putting him on meds. Then he was VERY wheezy, major coughing attacks, fever, didn't want to eat or drink anything. Long story short...we ended up in the hospital for a week because he had RSV Pneumonia (Respiratory Synsitial Virus) It was really bad! Mothers know their child best. I would take her in just to be on the safe side. Maybe they can even give you the nebulizer machine so that you can give her breathing treatments at home. That helps out with the wheezing. It is a steroid that decreases the inflammation of the lungs. But you Dr. will explain all that to you.
Don't worry too much about her not eating, that's very normal, but she does need to stay hydrated. Diluted apple juice, water, Popsicles, and even some pedialite. Not milk as that can cause flem. Make sure and keep her on the baby Tylenol too for the fever. And lots of love. But I would definitely get her checked out as soon as possible.
Good luck, I hope your little one feels better soon.

Hi, I'm not a doctor, but I'm a mum who knows what it's like to have a sick child and feel helpless. My daughter, at the age of two, had an allergic reaction to her meningitis shot, and was sick for over a week. She had the same symptoms as your little girl, wheezy and high fever. Every time I took her to hospital, the doctor would tell me to take her home when her fever came down. This annoyed me, being told by some doctor who really didn't care, that my baby was fine when I knew very well she wasn't.I was so stressed, and full of worry. Firstly, do you have help, I know how this sounds, but I was given this advise by my mum. She told me that looking at my stressed out face was even making ,her ill. Let someone else take over for a while, grandparents, an aunt or uncle. My mum took over, she sang songs, and wiped my little girls fever away while I rested. And I don't know if this is going to help, but it helped my little girl get her appetite back. Bubble gum. Prior to my daughter being sick she'd never had bubble gum, I didn't care, she was chewing and enjoying it. My aunt gave it to her, she said it helps produce saliva, and also helps get her taste back.

If your worried about your daughters medication, then get a second opinion. It does seem alot. I hope your little girl gets better soon. Try and get some rest too. Good luck.

i don't have particularly any theory, just to make you sense extra effectual. while my daughter had strep (3 y.) we watched Dora all day long and that i sat there along with her and cuddled, this grew to become into the only difficulty that made her happy and sense extra effectual. i think of it may help in case you agree for for your self that staying with him is your activity on the 2nd, so which you would be centred on him and not continually a splash someplace else whether you're with him. he will sense this and it will make him a splash extra effectual. After a pair of hours he will settle on your promise to return genuine back and stay with him back. wish he receives extra effectual quickly.

You must keep her hydrated. Offer drinks (without forcing them) as regularly as possible, and include electrolyte drinks (Dairrolyte - that's not how it's spelt, Lucozade).

As for the medication - no idea, I'm not a doctor.
