She's three; a spoiled bully and a brat. I know that's no way to describe a child but no one has seen this child! I love her, she's my elfin princess, so cute, but she has an attitude to rival the most demanding diva. I have no idea of how to discipline her. Her grandmothers get her everything she wants, I drop her off at daycare she wants none of it, they want to keep her... She throws tantrums and fights other children. She enjoys making other children cry, and she hits me. I have tried time outs, I have taken away toys, tv... nothing works.

I have a 3 almost 4 year old son. When it is time for dinner he says he is not hungry and sits at the table crying and yelling. around 7:00 is bedtime for him and his younger brother who is 2 (just turned 2) i put him to bed and he yells and screams that he is hungry (he has done this for almost a month now) I have then made him a sandwich which he does eat then he runs around and won't let his little brother go to sleep and if I tell him after he has eaten his sandwich that he needs to go to bed he then screams and yells that he isn't tired and he doesn't want to go bed. I have a seven year old who has to go to school the next day and it keeps him up so I end up letting him fall asleep in front of the tv. I don't know what to do how do I make him eat his dinner when it is dinner time and how do I get him to go bed when it is bed time with out him screaming and crying?
Also when I put him in his room I just let him scream and he had trashed the room and broke the fun in 3 pieces.

If we are dining out, once shes done eating we have to go or she'll start crying and whinning. i try to bring things to keep her entertained (fav toys) but it doesnt help. any ideas?

my son is 17 months old and we recently saw a neuorolgist because he is not walking yet and his right hand does not have much dexterity. the doctor said he most likely has a mild form of celebral palsy (i cant remember what he called it exactly) but he needs a mri to be sure. i am very scared because not only does he need to be put asleep for the mri, but he will likely be facing a lifetime of physical therapy. he is a very smart boy, he just cant do things as well as other kids his age. has anyone else had this early diagnosis and if so, what was the outcome and how is your child doing now?

My 3-year old daughter used to like brushing her teeth when she was still using a toothpaste that's not flouride-based (it's one of those for babies that tastes like candy). We shifted to a toddler brand toothpaste but she doesn't like it. She says it's hot/spicy (probably because of the minty after taste of flouride) and would cry and cover her mouth every time she sees me with her toothbrush. What do I do? Please help! I don't want her to have cavities.

My son is 4 1/2 years old and goes to an in home daycare...He has been staying up very late.like at least 11:00 sometimes later. Then, when it is time to get him up at 6:30 in the morning, it's nearly impossible! I have already discussed his nap schedule with his babysitter, and she agreed to cut it down to no more than an hour a day, if even that. It got better for a little while, he was going to sleep by 9:00 to 9:30 but in the last few weeks has slowly started creeping back up into the 11:00 hour. When we are home on the weekends he doesn't take a nap at all,and he is just fine without the nap. and he falls asleep easily by 8:30 or 9:00. Should I be firm and ask her to eliminate his naps altogether? I understand that she needs that break during the day and I definitely don't expect her to let him run wild during nap time. I offered to bring him quiet activities from home (like puzzles, books, etc) to do while the others are resting...but she just won't seem to stick to it. Ideas?

*K-I know I posted this in F&R.I just know that there are different people with different views here that can help as well.Thanks.*
My little brother is 5,and autistic. i am 14,and lately I have been having a tough time,so I get irritated very easily.
Don't get me wrong, I love my brother to death, but I have to babysit him so often.
I can't get him to listen, settle down, lower his voice-anything. His mind is always set to one thing and if his goals are not achieved he has a major melt down. If anything is out of place he flips out. And plus added to that he just repeats over and over and over and over and over very loudly....its driving me crazy. I am trying to be really nice and considerate of his mental state but due to my mental state I do not know how to handle him right now with out cracking. It just gets worse. I'm trying to understand his little world but I have been brought to tears a few times. Please, parents what do I do?

My son is 2 years old , actually he just turned 2. It seems like when someone comes over sick , he catches there sickness. I take him out all the time , shopping centers , park , I just keep him away from anyone i suspect maybe sick , and he is just fine , never gets sick ..If someone comes over to my home sick he will catch it 99 percent of the time..I ask people not to come over if they are sick but they do anyways , they say i'm just a paranoid mom , it makes me angry..I was wondering by school age are they stronger immune wise, I have a feeling my son will catch every bug that will be in his classroom..

I know this is absolutely horrible but my children sleep when they want they have no set nap or bed time. Since before the baby was born I decided I knew I was going to be up a lot so I let my toddlers sleep schedule slip and now where having issues cause she's tired and cranky all the time.
Now as for the baby she will not sleep unless I'm laying with her or unless she is in her swing or in the van. Now I want to get her in her crib for at least naps. She is just about 4 months old is it to late to swaddle her for her. I know for the most part I deserve this but our family will be going through some difficults times as my husband was diagnosed with cancer. So we can't have grumpy children around. I'm also not sure how to put my girls down to sleep if he's not home. Please help.

I just took all her toys she has been playing with for months and exchanged them back for her last years toys . She's really excited right now. But I need some good toys that she can't out grow but that are some what educational.

probably 5 months after my son was born he would throw up almost every day. He usually throws up in the morning and after he eats. He is now two and has been throwing up still. Ive brought him to boston childrens hospital and other doctors and they don't see anything wrong inside. I have tried everything from not eating in the morning and changing his diet and many other things and he still threw up. a few of months ago he stopped for about 4-5 months and now hes doing it again. Has anyone heard of anything or have any tips. thanks

I am 15 weeks pregnant and soon my husband and I will need to purchase a new (or used) vehicle. I am interested in one that will last us through the baby stage (car seat facing backwards) and into toddler stage (forward facing car seat).

we prefer a car or small SUV/Van/Wagon that has excellent safety ratings, an easily accessible back seat (for putting babies in and out), affordable, and ALSO gets great gas mileage (a lot to ask!) The problem with our car now is a rear facing baby seat would require the front seats to be pushed all the way up!

I assume by posting this question in the toddler stage of pregnancy, moms and dads will have some good suggestions of what works and doesn't work for them. SO, if you have a particular car that you like (or hate), please tell me about it. I am very interested in ease of use and gas mileage.

Thanks for all your help

My one yr old twins have until now been fantastic sleepers but all of a sudden they have started crying hysterically for up to four hours at night. They basically fall asleep when they have exhausted themselves. Once asleep they go for about twelve hours and other than this they are happy, even tempered little girls. Im finding it so hard and distressing has anyone any advice or tips?

My 3 yr old son will go to the bathroom at daycare but refuses to go at home. Every weekend I try to work with him with regular training pant. I have two younger children still in diapers, and I guess that is part of the problem. He uses pullups at daycare. I have tried sitting him on it, prizes, bribery, potty parties, EVERYTHING. I am scared he will be the first kindergartener ever still in diapers.

She loves the taste of tea (I am a sweet tea drinker) but my dad gave her some of his unsweetened tea and she loved it also! She doesn't like drinking water at all, so I thought maybe this would be better than juice for her. Any thoughts of opinions? BTW I am talking about decaf tea without sugar. Thanks!
