buy one of these little push-toy-trucks...my back then 9month old learned to pull himself up and then wobble and the finally walk...he had to hold on to that push-toy-truck though all the time...
But by age 1 he was a good walker already.
Don't push your baby though if he does not want to walk yet! That could make things worse!

Presuming that your child has been developing as expected and your pediatrician has no concerns, if you continue to play with your child and the child is in an environment that encourages crawling, pulling himself up to a standing position, and balancing himself on both legs, your child will let you know when he/she is ready to walk.
I can understand you want the best for your child and it's hard to see other children walking when your child is not. Hang in there.

When my son was 4 months old he spent a lot of time in a wheel around walker and that built up his leg muscles. He started walking at nine and a half months.

My daughter stood up and walked the day I put the old fashion hard sole high top shoes on her! She was 1 on Nov. 12th and I got her the shoes for Christmas. It was as if the shoes gave her the stability she needed to feel comfortable to let go!

you cant control when they start walking. the only thing you can do to encourage it would be to walk with them. hold there hands and start moving your feet. but they will walk when they are ready. i wouldnt push it though.

Don't worry about - children will walk when they are ready!
Do not push him/her; their bones are soft and making a child walk too soon will cause bowed legs.
Just be patient - it will happen.

put the baby in between you and someone else. try to get them to walk back and forth to both of y'all and then gradually move farther and farther apart. my daughter was holding onto the couch and walking around like that. a girlfriend of mine and i tried that with my daughter. well, daddy had went to the store and by the time he got back, she was walking around the living room. good luck!!

Encourage him to walk holding your hands, but if he isn't strong enough, he isn't strong enough.
