I am a 25 year old single mother of one and I have been married since I was 18. For the last month or so I have been parting with my friends about once to twice a week and I have never been unable or unwilling to care for my daughter when she comes home the next day. My father allways cares for her overnight when I do go out. I have been filling like a bad mother and I decided not to go out anymore....should I fill bad or unfit?

I need some advice from other parents who may have dealt with the same issue Im having with my 19mo son. Every morning he wakes up and his pj's and blankets are wet. I have stopped giving him anything to drink about and hour before bedtime and when he wakes up his diaper isnt even that full. It looks like he is sticking his hands down his diaper when he sleeps and the urine is coming out of the top of the diaper. I have tried putting onsies on him to prevent him from doing that but he still wakes up wet. Does anyone have anyother suggestions for me to try?

I've been putting diapers on his for sleep time just in case, because he just started the potty chair this past weekend....HELP!!

My son just turned 1 year old, and has been breatfed by my wife ever since he was born. But now he wont go sleep with me or her unless he is attached to her like a cow. It has been going on for the last week and we need to find an alternative. We try giving him a bottle and he wont take it. Tried the pacifier and he wont take it. Everything that worked when he was smaller doesnt work anymore. Tried letting him cry in his crib for 30min-1 hour didnt work either, he would just stand there screaming his lungs out. And its not only getting him to sleep, but KEEPING him asleep that is impossible too. He still wakes up sometimes every hour in the night crying and the only thing that calms him is breastfeeding. What can we do??

My daughter is 3 years old. She is having severe constipation which she does often. She hasn't gone in 3 days now. When she does go it is rather large and often hurts her to the point where she is crying and shaking going. No just recently she seems to be passing alot of gas. The thing I am really worried about is now she is throwing up. I am wondering if this could be caused by the constipation or is it more likely just caused by a virus or something? I called her pediatrician but he can't get her in until Friday. Any ideas if this could be causing that or any ideas on what I can give her to maybe make her go?

The rule at our house is that if my daughter acts up, we start counting to 3. If she doesn't cut her awful behavior out by the time we say 3 she gets an equal punishment for the negative behavior. My mother in law says it disturbs her that any more we can usually just say "One..." and our daughter will stop immediately. That's the purpose of counting. She says it worries her because our daughter is afraid of us, or else she would keep doing it until after two. Who's crazy? Me? or Her?

My 3 year old daughter dumped a huge tin of crayons on the floor because she was mad at me. I made her pick them all up (there were like 500 crayons in there) and now my mother-in-law is saying that was too much work for a 3 year old and that I'm too hard on my daughter. What do you think?

If he walks around with no pants/diaper on & has to go potty, he will go to the potty chair & go. If he has just pants on & no diaper, he will do the same thing. Should I put pull ups on him? He just started going in the potty chair this past weekend.

I have 2 daughters age 3 and 19 months. I have started volunteering at the YWCA family violence prevention office speaking out against abuse and telling my own personal story of being an abuse victim. My nineteen month old has never in her life spent a day away from me and when I called the 3 daycares we have in this town, I was told that she wouldn't be able to be in the same room as my older daughter because they segregate kids based on age. I want her to be in the room with her sister at least the first time or two until she gets used to being left there and it disturbs me that the daycares aren't willing to do that. Any ideas?

Rock-a-by baby,
On the tree top,
When the wind blows,
The cradle will rock,
When the bow breaks,
The cradle will fall,
And down will come baby,
Cradle and all.

Does anybody know if this report is true?
Was the baby injured? It sounds like a hell of a fall!
Were the parents ever punished for such neglectful, even maliscious behaviour towards their own child?
Were social services called?
I mean, how can any just go around leaving innocent infants in places where they could very easily get hurt? It is just so cruel.
I'm really upset!
If anyone knows if the poor little mite survived, even if it was crippled for life, please, please let me know!

My daughter was injured at the school's playground last Friday (Dec. 1, 2006), leaving her a 1.5" long cut/scratch on HER FACE. However, NOT a single incident report was written and NOT a single teacher noticed until I went to pick her up and saw it. I reported it to the director of the school, and asked the staff about what happened but none of them knew anything about it.

The owner of the Goddard School (at Trickum, Marietta , GA ), Tom Barone, was very rude and unprofessional. He not only refusedto resolve the issue but also shut us down from any further participation at the school when I brought Grace to the school for her Ballet/Tap dance class on Dec. 7 (Thursday). He handed me an envelope and just wanted to expel us away. When I asked him for the reason of such action, he lied and said that it was written in the letter. I opened the envelope immediately in front of him and read the letter, but actually there was NOT any reason written.

My friend is a room mother for her 3 year old's preschool class, and her task is to find a fun Christmas-themed game that they can play. Any ideas on something that is appropriate for 3 year olds? There are 11 kids who will be participating. I suggested "Pin the Nose on Rudolph" but she says most of the kids hate being blindfolded. We're stumped.

Hes not biologically mine but for 2yrs now I have done everything a bio-dad would have gone through. Through the years I feel that he has truley grown to be my son and I love him with all my heart. I want nothing but the best for him. That incluces not being spoiled so much - I know grandparents and aunts and uncles are supposed to spoil him but heres so spoiled that he knows that he is. No one else punishes him or gives him ANY boundries so when I do I look like the bad guy. Now his family sees me as a controlling social outcast. However there is method behind my madness. In turn hes mild mannered, polite (most of the time) well rounded in school, talks alot and is very social. Hes better then an average 4yr old. In addition to all that hes well taken care of. He never gets sick and when he does its only for a day. The secret is soup, juice and rest. Though everyone thinks he a mirical baby that just heals quick.Oh well, whatever. Should I let him be spoiled as everyone wants him 2be?
