He turned two yesterday, and he's always been quiet. He understands nearly everything we say to him, but he uses only fifteen or so words regularly. (He probably knows about ten more that he says once in a blue moon.) Should I be concerned about his development? My husband has a son from his first marriage, and he tells me that his son didn't start speaking until late, too..... I just don't know if this is something I should worry about. His doctor said not to worry unless he's not putting two words (noun and verb together)--for example, kitty out!--by two and a half. At his rate, I don't know if he's be there....

I am looking for a potty chair that looks similar to a real toilet. The one I found is sold out everywhere. If anyone knows of one that looks real, I would appreciate the help! Thanks!

We have a Safety 1st potty 'n step stool. When we moved we lost the little pee guard that goes on the front. I cannot find any contact info for this company or this product on their web site. I can find the potty chair on all sorts of web sites- but no contact information. Can anyone help? The chair is useless without it - we have a boy. Does anyone have this piece they dont use??
Thanks!

I have no problem getting her to use the washroom for number one, she's been doing it for ages and ages....but she refuses to do number two. I had some sucess in the summer, but throughout the fall and winter she goes in her pants. When I ask her or tell her to go to the potty (it's pretty obvious when she's going), she puts up her hand and continues her business. I've offered rewards, bribes everything!! Any suggestions?

My son has had a Teddy bear since he was 4 months and would sleep with it and take it everywhere, the problem is it is now LOST and he crys for it all the time. I found one on E-bay just like it, and it should be here next week.so my question is how should I give it to him, I'm not sure if he will know that it is not his. So maybe some of you have gone through this and might be able to give some advise on the matter. Thanks If you have any question send me an e-mail

I have a one year old and a three year old. My three year old didn't start tantrums until she was almost two. Now, my one year old is already throwing tantrums. All you have to do is look at her wrong and she'll throw herself on the ground and start screaming. Is this normal or is this early? It's always been easy to upset her, she has always been sensitive. Could she be catching onto her sister's behavior and this kind of action is a result of doing what she sees her older sister do?

My 16 month old used to pig out on anything in front of him a few months ago. He could eat a piece of pizza all to himself at ten months of age. Within the last two months he refuses to eat anything. We put food on his high-chair tray and he takes the tray off and gets down. We rigged the tray so that he could not get down, and then he throws the food all over the floor. I've tried spoon-feeding everything to him, one bite at a time, and he still refuses. He drinks lots of fluids and appears to be very healthy. No weight loss, he's in the 85% for length and 95% for weight. What should I do?

I have a 20 month old girl who just somehow slipped at Costco and managed to bang her head (upper right side) and it swelled immediately. I put ice on it (and of course she hated it), but she seemed to be okay...I called the doctor...and checked her all night/next day to make sure she wasn't seriously injured. She had the typical swelling and bruising, but was compeltely normal. 4 days later (just now), she tripped again in the kitchen and I actually saw her fall right on her bump. She cried and seemed to be in more pain this time (since it was already swollen). I'm guessing I should take her in tomorrow, but I don't want to be overly paranoid since she seems to be fine...but at the same time, I don't want to miss something and let it get into something worse. Any suggestions?

OK.. I seriously think my mother in law hates my two year old. I have four kids... 2 girls (8&5) and 2 boys (2&9mo). She absolutly adores my other 3 kids.. and its very obvious. NOW.. When it comes to my 2 year old, she is forever screaming at him. Her whole facial expressions change, the tone in her voice almost gets demonic. Infact, today my 5 year old asked my why grandma is so mean to Brock (my two year old) Now, we are staying with them until the first of January as our house is getting new windows and some work on the foundation done. I dont know what to do. When I try talking to her about it she gets so mad and wont talk to me for a long time (last time it was 2 weeks) and she also treats the rest of my kids bad. Now my two year old is active.. not naughty, but he is two. He is busy... but not bad. PLEASE I need advice because I cant take this anymore. I dont know what to do!

Do you ever find yourself, driving down the street, shopping, cleaning house or just doing whatever... singing the title song to Spongebob or The Wonderpets or Dora and Diego... and not realizing it?
