My son's first birthday is this saturday, and we're having a HUGE party for him (ponies, petting zoo, jumping balloon, etc.). The only problem is I have no idea what games to play with the kids, or how many. It's a western themed party so I'm looking for games that go with that theme...any suggestions?

She is only going to babysit my daughter for 3hours from 6:00am-9:00am. So I just want to know how much should I pay her a day. I go to her house and pick her up and then drop her off.

I'm really concerned, he cant seem to remember simple things, such as what he had for breakfast, what tv show he watched, or what he played. Or is it easier for him to answer "can't remember" to all this questions?

I need to know because I'm supposed to get something from a wishlist for a kid this Christmas, and I got size 5T outfit, assuming it's the same as boys size 7/8. Is it the same? Or am I wrong?

I went to the store with my four kids to make a christmas wish list and check out some prices. I had the infant strapped into the stroller and my toddler, almost 2 was looking at the toys with her brother and sister. The isles were a bit cramped for shoppingcart and stroller alike but we were managing. This lady was pushing a shopping cart in my direction, so trying to be polite I moved my stroller past some boxes that were in the middle of the Isle and off to the side so she would be able to get by, my toddler was right next to me at the time. The lady proceeded to run over her with her shopping cart then she started yelling at me for not watching her and said its my fault that she hit her and she would not apoligize for it. She said I was guilty of neglect and she was going to report me and she didnt have to watch were she was going. So my question is, whos right?

I have this friend who is totally blind and she has a 1 year old child. She is a single parent who is constantly yeling at her daughter. Every five minutes she is telling her child how bad she is and all kinds of things! On a good day she plays with her and spends time, but on a bad day she is always yelling at her. My friend chalks it up to the fact that, she is the only one taking care of her daughter and when she does wrong, she disciplines her. Another friend of ours named sean who she talks to also, says that she is verbally abusing her child and wants to call child protection on her before she hurts her daughter. My friend tends to also take her anger out on her child, knows that she nedds to stop, but han't quite gotten there.
Who is right?

I have a 23 month old who doesn't really speak yet...all she does is babble (she babbles whole stories sometimes) and maybe can say like 4 or 5 words. She is advanced in her motor skills..it's just speech that is delayed. I am not sure if she is autistic (in my family and husband's noone is autistic). She is mostly very shy but sometimes she surprises me by smiling and looking at strangers...she seems to understand most of what I am saying...but the thing that worries the most is she sometimes likes to spin around and shake her head and when we tell her to stop she just laughs like its funny and does it even more, also sometimes she hates certain loud noises, i know she has like hypersensitive ears....does anyone else have this problem? is autism hereditary and does my daughter have it?? please help! thanks!

other than a close relative, my mom or mother in law/sis in laws.
So how can I find a good babysitter, we move often since hubbys in the NAVY and I don't usually have time to get aquainted with other moms enough to trust them with our kids. My hubby and I are very protective so credentials and references are crutial.

My two and a half yr old wont go to the toliet. Yes she does sit on the toliet when she wants to but does nothing. I have recently been putting nappies on her only when she has a nap during the day and at night when she goes to sleep. I explain to her to tell mummy before you want to go tell me. She contstantly keeps having accidents on the carpet, on the kitchen floor, but she knows what she is doing she looks at me while she does it. Its really stressing me out. She knows as soon as a nappie is put on she can just do it in her nappie. How do i get her to go to the toliet and not on the floor.

...when he doesnt get what he wants. we are used to getting him to stop crying by giving him what he wants, but we found that it will only make him spoiled. the other day went to blockbuster to rent a movie and he omar (my 3 year old brother) ran straight to the ice cream and we had JUST came from baskin robins before we went to block buster! he threw this fit and was screaming at the TOPPP OF HIS LUNGS! it was so humiliating. and when we tried to pick him up so we could leave, he would just lay down and kick and scream, he would would allow us to even pick him up! so my other brother and i had to hold him down and BOTH of us had to struggle to carry him back to the car where he cried and screamed for 10 minutes! he just turned 3 a few days ago, and hes never usually like this! this incident wasnt the first tim either! any suggestions?!?!? PLEASE! and thanks in advance!

I need some suggestion! My nephew is only 7 yrs. old but he has the biggest flat screen tv, will not wear nothing but Lacoste clothes, has ps2, and has everything already! He is very spoiled, picky, and not appreciative little boy! I hate to admit it but my brother had already bought him just about anything he wanted.

My 13 month old son is beginning to take steps. He has a couple pairs of shoes because the older members of my family insist that he have them on all of the time. The thing is, I hear conflicting advice. Some people say that children just learning to walk should learn to walk without shoes on. Others say they should wear shoes. As a parent, I get a lot of advice from people and some of it I just hear as it passes out the other ear, but with this advice, I'm not sure which path to take. Shoes or no shoes?

My 3 yr old is very clingy. Not in a typical manner she seems to want contact in odd ways. She wants me to constantly touch her, either by holding her hand or touching her feet. She's been like this since she was born, but it wanes at times. Just recently she's needs the constant contact. She doesn't even really hold my hand, but will take my fingers and push them into her palm or her feet. It is getting very tiring I can't do anything without her intrusion.
Any idea why she does this and how to resolve it?
