I have two small children. I never really though about dying and now I am terrified I will die young and I don't know who will take care of my children. Is this a normal thing all moms think or am I having some kind of premonition???

I have never felt this way before, but I swear she is driving me crazy. She has started to either use a high-pitched squealy voice, or this throaty whisper. She has started making one syllable words into 2 or three syllable words, and she has started making up these words that don't exist and then sings them over and over again. She knows how to talk, why is she doing this? I feel kinda bad being annoyed by this, but where has my daughter gone? Just everything she says is getting on my nerves, It's like she ahs forgotten how to talk. I am not one of those pushy moms, but this is driving me crazy for some reason. It's like she is resorting to being a 12 month old again. Maybe I just need to get away for a day or so?

I'm looking to find a new babysitter or daycare but I would like to go through a website that does background checks especially if the daycare is a home daycare. Does anyone know of any such website or any recommendations on how to find a good babysitter?

Daughter is totally ready to potty train, she tells us after she has soiled herself and then even brings us a diaper, we have a little potty for her but she wants to use the big one. She tells us she needs to use the potty but when we get her situated she just sits there and then asks for TP, she goes through the wiping motion and that's it. Does she need to see mommy go to get the fundamentals down. I can't show her we will be cleaning up a lot of messes. Please help with your suggestions.

I am approaching the one year mark with my son. I have to transition him to only a sippy cup by the time he is a year. I give him sippy cups with water and diluted juice already, but he mostly plays with them. How can I get him to drink his milk from a sippy cup when he is one? How much milk should he get, I noticed the sippy cups generally only hold 4 ounces. Is this all he needs? Do I warm up the milk? Please help!

It is 26 degrees F but with the wind chill it feels more like 17 degrees F. Is that to cold to be out with a 5, 4, and 2 1/2 year old? The kids want to go to story hour at the local book store. Then to do train paintings at the local toy store. We do not have the car at this time so driving is not an option.

Should I take her car seat to put her in on the plane or just buckle her into the seat? Good ideas for quiet toys to keep her occupied?

My daughter has had two very loose stools this morning. For dinner last night, she ate what we ate, which was a vegetarian rice dish that my husband has made for us before. She ate alittle more than usual, but not much. She is in GREAT spirits, no temperature, silly and cute as ever. She does, however, have a red rash in her diaper area. I gave her allergy meds, just in case it is an allergic reaction to something and put a calming balm on the rash in case it's from the poop that was in her diaper this morning since who knows when. At what point do we give her pedialyte or snother electrolyte solution? Am I over-reacting? Thanks!!!

We just bought for a friends child a game, as requested by the parents. It comes with an instruction booklet on how to increase it's educational benefits. Surely they should have a booklet about how to maximise the fun? Any parent who's concerned is only going to worry if there trying hard enough and make the experience frought and tense. If a child is having fun- particulary the pre-school age they will be learning any, and both will be more relaxed. I've seen other books and activities with similar supplements- do you really think it's necessary?

My son has ALWAYS been very good about sleeping in his own room from the time he goes to sleep till morning. The past month he hasn't slept more than three hours in his own bed! We have tried to let him "cry it out" and that did not work one bit. He will cry until I finally lay him on my bed and then he is out instantly. I've tried waiting a while after he is asleep in my bed then moving him back to his own but he wakes up and screams the second he is layed down. I don't know what else to do, Please Help!

He usually eats a surprising amount for 18 months. The last three days at least he's almost completely stopped eating. Even the things that I know he loves. They say that 2 or 3 tbsps counts as a serving and I have been lucky to get him to eat 2 or 3 tbsps total for the meal. No matter what it is. Should i get his throat checked out seeing as i have had a sore throat for the last couple of days? Or should i give it a few more days?
