I doubt that you are having some sort of premonition. I know that having a daughter, coupled with getting a bit older and wiser, I too have had a new found fear of dying young or in some accident. I think this is natural reaction to the awareness of our own mortality AND the knowledge that we are no longer living just for ourselves and are now actually needed by someone else (our children). I think this fear may actually serve some sort of purpose in that aside from planning out wills and preparing for the future, we also may tend to take fewer unecessary dangerous physical risks like we may have when we were younger, when we didn't have any responsibilities to anyone other than ourselves. A form of self-preservation, perhaps, so that we can try to be around for our children as long as possible.

I think many moms have this kind of feeling. Maybe you will feel better if you actually make a will and appoint guardians for your children. Talk with family or friends to make sure they understand what you would want. This is not to sound morbid, but any of us could be hit by a truck while crossing the street. I did a will when my kids were small and appointed guardians. Our kids are all grown up now and I'm still here!

Sounds like a normal mother's anxiety to me...nothing more. I have fears like that as well, and also about something happening to my son.
Being a parent makes you incredibly vulnerable..plus with all the crap that goes on in the world daily, I'm not surprised ANY parent has anxiety like that.

premonition, maybe. But after I had my first child, my husband and I both almost immediately started thing about our wills, our child's future, life insurance...so forth. I think its just a parenting instinct to strive to protect and secure your children.

it is normal. to help ease your nerves about who will take care of the children, get a will and designate someone who is willing and trustworthy to take the children. that's what i did. it helped with my nerves alot.

Don't talk yourself into it- speak life over yourself and family- do not speak curses over yourself- speak blessings- Jesus came that you may have life and have it more abundantly- there is one that came to kill, steal and destroy- that is satan- Know to which kingdom you belong to- take care- xxoo- Deb
