How about personalized books? Kids really love to hear their own name in the storyline. Go to this website http://www.tlc-expressions.com They have lots of titles to choose from like Sesame Street, Batman, Ballerina Princess, Spider-Man, Little Mermaid, Scooby-Doo, Dinosaur Land, Teddy Bear Land and so many more. They are so cute and very reasonably priced.....a unique & educational gift. Check it out and good luck!

Winnie the Pooh toys, or any toys that talk, wiggle, dance, or sing, or a little bike or car for the two year old. For the 4 year old, things to draw with, FUN learning activities maybel ike leapfrog, they like little bikes, and balls. There re soo much, depending on a child. There's tons of things too much to name, from a tiny puzzle all the way up to a 4ft by 5 ft house to walk into.

Get the V smile Vtech Game consols. They have games for girls and boys. For ages 3-up to 6 or 8.

Not sure if you have a girl or boy

Boys - Thomas the tank engines are always a hit , same with geotraks( my son loves his) Also at target they have a thomas the tank engine phone (17.99) and computer (24.99)

Girls- The littlest petshop toys are good, Strawberry Shortcake ( I still have mine from when I was little) Dress up clothing and tiaras are also fun for that age. Disney princess toys are good too.

My 4 year old girl loves anything Dora or strawberry shortcake. Also, likes the little pet shop toys. Play doh is good for 2 and 4 year olds of either sex and a kit with playdoh and accessorys won't be more than $10. even if it isn't on sale.

The 4 year old would probably like some flash cards of words, colors, and numbers. Anything having to do with music for both of them. puzzles, books, and leapfrog toys are very educational and fun!! good luck!

get them Magadoodles. It's great. I have taught my daughter her ABCs on it and everything. It's like an etcha sketch, but they draw on it and can erase it. My kids have about four of them and they love them. Keeps them entertained for a long time too!

Another thing they love is the ABC teaching magnet by leapfrog. You put in a letter, push it and they tell you what letter it is, and what sound it makes. Great learning tool!

Don't forget some toys teach them to use their imagination too! Fake food is great to teach them their colors and lets their imagination run wild!

I bought my 2 year old son a thomas beginners train set and a toby the totbot (I think that is what it is called). I try to get something fun and then something educational. My niece is four years old and I bought her a leap frog laptop and tricycle.

Play-Dough

Washable crayon / markers

paints

colourful blocks of different colours to stack and knock down

Magna-doodle (re-writable colouring surface)

Anything to get them creating.

My daughter is 3 and my son is 7 ... they are always asking to play with play-dough or colouring.

They love making things themselves to show off or give to you.

Last year, I got out some large sheets of white paper and finger paints... I let them make red and green hand prints on the paper then use it to wrap up their Christmas gift for grand-ma... they were soooo proud of the paper. They couldn't wait to give it to her.

Kids between that age likes to do puzzles and to color. If it is a boy they also love cars and trains and stuff like that. The girls also like babies and barbies.
