My son is sick with an ear infection, so we won't be doing the usual play area/play group thing today. This is the 2nd day in the house, and we're both going stir-crazy. I hate to have the TV on all the time either. He still has plenty of energy to burn even sick!

Yesterday, we made ornaments for the tree. What are some other fun ideas for an indoor day?

When I pick him up, I have to wait for her. When I drop him off, again I am waiting for her. She is consistently late for both. I have a problem making him wait in his car seat because his Mom can't be on time. I let him up front with me, and he plays with the radio, power windows, steering wheel, blinkers, ect. Then when her late butt finally arrives, he objects being placed back in a car seat. I was scolded because I should make him just sit there. Wouldn't it be easier if she would just show up on time? Or am I being irresponsible? My boy is 2 and 1/2 yrs.

I don't ever send any time around children, so I am not sure how to make him feel at ease. I am not sure if 5 year olds can talk, but if he can, what kinds of things should I say to him?

When I was little my Aunt used to creep me out and I don't want this little guy to feel that way around me.

I start babysitting a little girl who is almost 3 tomorrow. I used to babysit her from the time she was 2 months to a year. I now have a ten month old son and he is very unpredictable around other children. He can be loving at one moment and borderline abusive the next. She is a really sweet little girl and she gets along with other kids well. I was just wondering if I should expect any certain behaviors out of my son, like jealousy or problems with his ability to share and so on. If anyone has any tips for me it will be very helpfull. I will be watching her 12 hours a day and my son isnt used to having other children around everyday and all day.

We store it in the fridge.
My 3yo son plays a computer game,he has to put groceries in the right place and cant understand why the cereal dosent go in the fridge. It goes in the pantry. Not a good game bc not everyone eats stale food.

For no apparent reason, she's so terrified of wearing shoes. Even just the mere act of putting a sock on her foot sets her cringing and fighting and crying. This worries us a lot as she's now beginning to walk and we don't want her walking around barefooted all the time.

My daughter just turned a year old on December 10.She loves to try and put things together and take them apart. So I was thinking that she would like Mr.Potatoe Head for Christmas cause she can take his face and all apart and put him back together.Plus she already knows where her nose is when ou ask her so I also thought this would be good for her to learn where the rest of the face(ears, eyes, ect) are.But my husband and my grandma all thought that she is to young and that is has to many small pieces. What do you all think?

My son is 22 months old and he is absolutley insane. His sister is 14 months older than him, and they fight, but he is amazing. He will scream at the top of his lungs(blood curdling), thow himself down(and bang his head), then bite what is ever in front of him. He also throws things if he happens to have it in reach. I know 9 times outta 10 he is just pissed cause his sister doesn't understand the concept of sharing.(Nor does he for that matter). Is it best to ignore it? Scold him? Time out him? He is very sensitive and cries with scolding. My daugter is a whole different issue.....how do I deal with my sweet little boy?
