I start babysitting a little girl who is almost 3 tomorrow. I used to babysit her from the time she was 2 months to a year. I now have a ten month old son and he is very unpredictable around other children. He can be loving at one moment and borderline abusive the next. She is a really sweet little girl and she gets along with other kids well. I was just wondering if I should expect any certain behaviors out of my son, like jealousy or problems with his ability to share and so on. If anyone has any tips for me it will be very helpfull. I will be watching her 12 hours a day and my son isnt used to having other children around everyday and all day.

Look at this as an opportunity to socialize your son! He needs to be around other kids and learn how to behave, as you know. Don't look at it as something you should dread.

Try to think of games the three of you can play. Read books to both of them. Except for things like bathroom trips, do things in groups the whole time. That way, there's no room for jealousy.

Good luck!

Well I dont see why he should act like that. I mean he may get a little jealous but try this little thing I like to call parenting and let him know what is right and wrong. He will eventually learn how to be social and how to be nice to others. If hes not given the opportunity to learn to be nice to other kids ...why would he ever be?
