Maylox (ant-acid liquid medication) works wonderful. Just put some on a cotton ball and smear it on the rash with each diaper change.
If you think it might be a yeast infection, use plain yogurt with active cultures. With each diaper change, put a bit of yogurt on the rash.

Well If it isnt helping maybe it isnt just diaper rash. Desitin always worked on my son. But there have been a few times that it didnt and his doctor said that some babies get this (I know it sounds weird) fungus type stuff in their intestines nd when it "coes out" It can cause a diaper rash. I used Lotrimin . It is used for athletes foot really but my pediatrician said it is fine to use on the diaper rash, just dont get the zinc one cuz it will burn the area. She warned me of that. Also dont usewipes, it will irritate it more. I use wet toilet paper then let him air dry. Hope this helps.

I don't know what product they have there in your area. But I hope this might help you out a little.
Diapers should be changed as soon as it is soiled by the baby. The area of rash should be kept clean and frequently washed with warm water and soap. If possible, it is preferable to keep the area open to air. Exposure to the air and keeping the area dry hastens the healing of the rash. While cleaning, the raw area should not be rubbed with towel, which may cause more rawness, use cotton rather than towel for cleaning.

It's not a home remedy but my son had aweful diaper rash a few months ago and the doctor and he gave me "Dr. Smiths Ointment." It was the only one that didn't rub off into the diaper! I'd reccommend it to anyone. Also, if the rash is really bad and you see the skin breaking-down, get "Domeboro Astringent solution" at let your kid sit in the sink in it a few times a day. You can get either at the drugstore.

Are you sure it is diaper rash? If it is, a doctor will tell you to use something like that.
However, if using something like Desitin doesn't work, then chances are it isn't diaper rash, but something else going on that will require a prescription.
I don't know of any home remedies for that......but if you are asking because Desitin isn't working, then HELLOOO doctor!! :)

I'm feeling pretty lucky that I will be the 1st one to put up the 2 best diaper rash things... Search these 2 items on the internet and I'm sure you'll find alot of good info on them...
1. Dr. Smith's- my personal favorite, and it comes in a little round tub -- at some grocery stores or target or online
2. "Buttpaste" - I think I last bought it as costco and the drugstore.. it's really good too.
--I also heard that mixing maalox and aquaphor was really good because you need an antacid base.
Good luck.

With my daughter the only thing that would work for her diaper rash was Bag Balm and her rash would get so bad it would bleed.

Air dry for an hour or so after each diaper change. Yes the baby will probably pee or poop on your towel, but that is better than a baby being in pain. Oh... and use Caldesene powder. You can get it at most drug stores, and its in a pink bottle.
