My sister is mortified that he is constantly playing with himself, no matter what he's wearing he'll go out of his way to take his cloths off to get his little thing out. What can we do, and is this something that warrants some attention?

target recently recalled several toys because they have lead paint. One of the sets is a dinosaur set but not the set I bought my son. I am not sure I trust them when they say his dinosaurs are safe. I want to remove the Target dinosaurs from his herd but he has so many I no longer know which ones came from Target. They cannot tell me how to distinguish their dinosaurs or even how many were in the pack I bought. So I was wondering if there was an easy at home way to test all of his dinosaurs for lead. Any suggestions?

My husband and I have an ongoing debate about the child harness I bought for my 2 year old. It is a harness that goes around his chest with a leash at the back. I put it on him when we go out for walks or if we are walking around at the mall (we live in a big city where traffic and lunatics are always a concern). He hates it, and says it is like treating your child like a dog. I, however, love it and find it easier than holding his hand all the time. My son is fine with it, and does not fuss or cry when I put it on him. It seems to give him a sense of freedom from having to hold Mummy's hand all the time. I am curious to know what other parents think - a harness or no harness? Has anyone been in this same situation?

My main ? is transitioning to milk. My pedi. said I can just give her milk or transition like 1/2 and 1/2. She still won't use a sippy cup even though we try many times a day. She loves a regular cup though. My pedi. said not to put the milk in the bottle, but I know I did with my other dd and I have friends who do it. Is it really a big deal? I am afraid to change to milk because she doesn't eat much food and she won't get the nutrition she needs but my dr. said she will eat when she is hungry. She told me to drop 2 of her 4 bottles and offer her milk in a cup and eventually drop all bottles. What ways worked best for some of you. Now I am going to stress about this. I had so much stress and worry about her development and now look what she is doing. In a few weeks or month she will be drinking out of a cup and I would have worried for no reason.anyway, I would love some advice on how you all did the formula to milk. I thanks Debbie

I try to get him to sleep from 10am to around 11:30am and then again around 3:30 to 5 but lately he's been really fighting the second nap but if he doesn't get that second nap hes super cranky come supper time. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thx in advance.

I am the single mother of one little girl. and she is very precious to me. Though i love her to death she has become somewhat unmanagleble. There are times when she is very sweet and considerate. But its like the next minute she is a totally different child. If she is told no she will through very violent tantrums, to the point where she has to be restrained from hurting herself or someone else. She refuses to be seperated from me, she has to be with me constantly or it is a tanturm waiting to happen. She doesnt sleep that well at all, and refuses to sleep by herself. I have dealt with this for the past year and its becoming alot to handle. Everyone that has been around her has noticed the behavior also. I have honestly tried everything from yelling, to taking toys and movies away from her but this just aggrivates her tantrums. As a last resort i tried spanking but it didnt seem to phase her she just got even more out of hand. I have no idea of what to do.

Is this normal?

All right, I'm having a huge problem. I'm a single mom with a 4 year old daughter. She hasn't seen her bio-father in 3 years; he gave up his parental rights when we divorced. He has ADD, Bi-polar, anxiety, and depression. I am (normally) a very calm person, it takes a lot to make me stressed, and I am STRESSED!!! I know a lot of it is my fault, I've given into her at times, I haven't been as consistant as I should be, and our routine has gone to hell. I'm paying for it now. She throws one tantrum after another; screaming, violent tantrums. She does things to spite me. Tonight she cut her hair for the 4th time! She got scissors out of the trash and hid them up in her room. When I sent her to her room she cut off her hair (made me furious). There are times when she is just the sweetest child ever, and then all of a sudden she goes into these rages. I don't know what to do anymore. Any advice would be appreciated, and if you need any more info, I'd be happy to oblige.

I'm concerned and feel very bad,but i was just realizing that i haven't heard her say mama or dada lately, and she doesn't point to objects in books that i name off, stack blocks, or points to objects in general, or point to what she wants, well occasionally she will point to objects but not always. I guess i was just realizing this when i came across a couple of 18 mos. old milestone charts on the internet. Should i call her doc. asap ,should she be doing all these things like talking to word sentences and easy words like milk etc. She does say bye, very well and side which means outside. What is your exper. with your toddler, any tip or advice would be great. thanks

I am so worried. My son will be 3 and he doesn't say sentences just short words. He seems very smart, but points to everything. We've tried the don't give it to him if he points until he says what he wants, but he doesn't. He had a hearing test. He hears fine. Advice anyone? What did you do if this happened to you?
