Do you wait until the last possible minute to change her?

The reason I ask is that, although no one really likes to change a messy diaper, when they first go, it's easily wiped off. If you get it right after they've gone, it's easy to clean.

If you let it sit, or someone lets it sit waiting for you, the stuff tends to dry, cause a diaper rash, and can be painful be cleaned.

If you get it fresh, you're daughter will be most appreciative. If she's had a bad experience, it will take her a while to trust that it won't be painful, but overall it'll be easier for the both of you.

If you blow it off, or inherit an overdue diaper, it'll be uncomfortable for her and she won't like it.

My 14 month old son is the same way- he used to giggle, now he cries. So I always try distracting him- I give him his teddy bear and we point at his eyes, nose, mouth, etc... he loves it! That and I play this music on his worm thing you pull - that sometimes helps as well. But yes, I'd start potty training.... we are gonna start after Christmas when we get a potty chair :)

Let her help. Speak with her as you are changing her. If she really doesn't want you to change her then. If she starts giving you attitude, then say alright mommy won't change you now. Ask her if she feels comfortable with poopy in her pants. Just keep it up for a bit. I bet she comes around.

My daughter is also two and she does the same thing. All I do is ask her to help me. It gives her a sense of Independence and makes her feel that helping me out is important.
