mine have eaten bananas - peel and all, tootsie rolls without unwrapping, those dot candies on the strips of paper- including the paper. candy kisses still wrapped in foil. tried to chew the fake candy garland on christmas trees, then complained it tasted yucky - DUH !!
some times too big a chunk of plastic will make them choke but other then that i wouldnt worry too much.

Not this time. If your child did not choke then the wrapper should be eliminated without a problem. However, I hope you will take care to keep this from happening again because you don't want anything bad to happen to your baby.

I think he will be fine. Just check his poop over the next few days to see if you notice it passing. My brother ate a penny when he was little once and I ate a long jewelry chain. It all passed.

Why were you not watching her/him? It will digest fine and come out eventually. Plastic is not easy to digest, you know? The child will be just fine. No worries.... keep your eye on the child 24/7!!!

No, I wouldn't be worried it will all come out. :) My 3 year old ate a penny, I freaked!! I called his pediatrician and she said not to worry it will come out. It did and he is fine. You have a funny story to embarrass him/her with when he/she is older.
