My daughther turned 3 in Oct and around then we started potty training. Around then she started to tell us that her diaper is dirty. For the last month or so she has refused to tell me or her teachers that her diaper is dirty. She seems content to sit poop. I have asked her to tell me or her teachers when her diaper is dirty she say she will, but continues to let it stay dirty.
I am at my wit end...
Last night she slept in poop all night and her rash is horrible. I told her she could not watch videos tonight as a way to enforce her to tell me...Does has anyone had a similiar problem? Is enforcing her to tell me by taking something away appropriate in this case?
Help...

and if so should i still take him to the doctors? i have a child with no other symstoms execpt 101.2 and a stuffed up nose. Yesterday it was 100.1. Is this a cold or just teething bc he still is in the teething stage is is 17months old. i gave him tynol and today is fever was up to 101.2. So should i still take him to the doctors? or should i just keep giving him tynol. He still acts like he does not feel good. could this be the flu?

My son is three and cannot take pills yet but he spits the cold medicine at me when i give it to him. Hes running a fever and has a runny nose. cough and sneezing. I have tried adding the flavoring and holding him down to make him take it. i also have tried giving him a reward for taking it. Nothing is working he just keeps spitting it and choking on it. Any suggestions please besides taking him to the doctor thats where the cold medicine came from. thanks for all help.

My 3 yr old daghter has very bad breath. It started all of a sudden about a week ago. I brush her teeth twice a day (now like three) since she had them, she has beautiful white teeth. We brush tongue too. I even floss her about once a week and she uses mothwash but it just doesn't work, about ten min after brushing the breath is back. I think it's not her teeth but her stomach. Anybody has any experiences with this?

P.S. She doesn't eat too much sweets, but she does eat a lot of protein. I thoght that might be it so I tried to cut down on protein in her diet last couple days but nothing changed :-((

Last night I asked about my sons high fever and I decided to wait it out.... it broke just after he went to bed... from 103.6 to 97.9..... and throughout the night I got up to check his temp. which I had to continue giving him meds, because it kept rising...now this morning he has a fever of 102 and is now breaking out in bumps.. on his right arm it looks like big mesquito bites, and the left elbow looks like it is covered in pimples... then his legs have like mesquito bites down the back........ My question is... do you think this would be contaigous... the doc can't tell me until I take him up there in 4 hours..... and I am 3 months pregnant..... I just wonder what it could be and if it could be passed on.... Thanks!!!!

I divorced my 4 year old son's father a few years ago and have since re-married to a wonderful man who is the father of our daughter. My husband treats my son as if he was his own and considers him his child. My son calls my husband Dad or Daddy most of the time, but recently he has been saying that he misses his "other dad".

His biological father enlisted in the army last year to "get away" from it all and only sees my son once or twice a year (although he is leaving for Iraq in a few months so he won't even see him that often). He calls occasionally, about once a month or less.

What do you think is causing him to suddenly miss his dad? What should I do about it? His dad is pretty much scum and worthless and takes zero responsibility, and my husband is so good for him, it breaks my heart. How should I handle his questions?

She started doing this about 2 months ago and sometimes wets her pants 4 times a day. Sometimes I could tell she has to go but she always says she doesn't. So I end up forcing her to the bathroom , which I don't like doing, and she does go potty. Why is she telling me she doesn't have to go?

My daughter is 3&1/2 yrs. old and for the past several months, getting her to eat is a horrible experience. She says she doesn't want to, her tummy hurts, her legs hurt. But there is nothing physically wrong with her. I try everything until I am almost in tears and my husband eventually will tell her eat or go to bed. She is skinny and I worry about her nutrition. What should we try?

you can just look at her wrong and she will give the meanest look and slap your face or whatever she can reach. Now she's even starting to bite. She grabbed my oldest daughter's hand, pulled it to her mouth, and bit her! There is no hitting at my house, so she does not se it there. She stays with my mother in law, and there are days she almost has her in tears. What happened to my sweet baby girl? don't get me wrong, she's very loving and all that, but she has her moments, alot. What can I do?

My son recently started daycare where he needs to bring his lunch. He is 21 months old, so it has to be something he can eat easily without too much mess. They also want it to be something that doesn't need refridgeration. Any suggestions for a healthy lunch to send him with? I need ideas! :) Thank you.

We took our daughter to see them on her bday and he wasn't there. They said he had a hernia. Now he's leaving for health problems. So sad...

What can I do? My daughter goes to the bathroom sometimes. She tell me she have to go sometimes, but most of the time I have to put her on a schedule in order for her to go. I know she had surgery when she was first born on an organ inside of her stomach, We are actually getting things checked out, so Im hoping that is the problem. Not really hoping that is the problem, but I will feel better to know its not all her.

My 2 year old toddler has been having some trouble chewing and swallowing his food properly. About once a day, on average, he gags on some food and throws up. .He keeps food in his mouth and spit or vommits afterwards. He is fussy eater. He don't like to eat anything, even if he is hungry.
.He makes a loud, annoying burp every time when he eats.
He drinks little milk using trainer cup.
I have talked to his peditrician several times about this. Basically, because our son is healthy, he's not really interested in seeing him. he said some kids just gag easily, and they tend to get better as they get older.
Does anyone have advice on helping our son get over this yucky problem?
