I suffer from sleeping problems as well. It can take me hours to get to sleep and I wake easily. Something that helps me alot is to drink warm non caffienated tea (try green tea..it has a ton of powerful antioxidants that helps prevent colds and even cavaties) and also try spraying lavander scents on his pillow or in his room. This scent has been proven to relax people and help provide better sleep. Also my doctor told me no sodas or large meals 2-3 hours before bedtime. Also let him only sleep in his bed. Homework, games, ect should be done elsewhere. If your body associates the bed with sleeping only, then that is what will be done there. One more tip: Try having a 10 minute quiet time with him before bedtime to help his mind unwind. Hope this helps!
