He's almost 3 and she is 2 months old and ever since I brought her home he wants to hold his face so close to her all the time and sometimes they bump heads and she screams from pain. I keep telling him "not so close" and he keeps doing it, what should I do? Let it go? Punish him?

What is your opinion on this..... every year my husband and I get a few gifts each for our three kids, but my mom goes nuts. She gets tons for each and it upsets my husband. It doesn't really bother me, but he feels it's too much. What's your opinion?? Thanks

We have a routine, As soon as I mention, bath or bed he starts screaming no no no. I carry him up the stairs without saying a word while he is screaming and kicking (very tiring) once in the bathtub he plays and is happy until I start saying, "All Done?" He starts screaming again! I take him out without saying a word wrap him in his towel and brush his teeth, he calms down until I pick him up and head to his room. I lay on his bed with a book, not saying anything except, "Do you want a book?" When he calms down, I read. We give hugs and kisses and I turn off the lights and shut the door. As soon as I say, "The End. Can I have a kiss?" he starts screaming! He comes out of his room 2 - 8 times after that and we pick him up without a word and put him back in bed. The only other thing I can think of is punishing him, but he's two. During the day we use time out, in this situation it would be a reward to sit in time out instead of laying in his room! Help!

I have tried time outs, spanking, and ignoring. He has also learned to tolerate hot sauce and soap. Every time he doesnt get his way, he spouts off F-bombs, and G'D's like a pro. We also don't let him hear bad language as much as possible. We even told him they were "grown up" words. I have 2 other boys and neither of them went through this stage, so I don't know what is left to do.

My 4 year old daughter is going through this stage where she wines about everything! It's driving me crazy. Is this something I just have to wait out or is there something I can do to get her to stop wining.

My mother in law is alwaystouching our 3yr old's butt.Patting it,picking our child up by the butt. The last straw was when I saw her pick our child up by grabbing the middle of her butt with one hand (where her fingertips were facing,if not on her privates),and using the other to hold her back.I find this touching uneccesary and odd.My hubby and I pick her up by placing our hands on her sides or under her arms ,then holding her with her butt on our forearm....or putting her on our hip with our arm around her waist. My parents and everyone else does it this way too..........................Why is she doing this?...What is the best way to tell her not to?

My daughter, the 14 year old isn't as bad as the 11 year old boy. The both think they are the parent and I only exist when they get their way! We live with my mom and her husband because of my health. The boy acts out his anger and has destroyed many things of mine and my mom's including put holes in the walls and doors. I've tried to get them psychiatric care, but my son isn't cooperating at all. He just wants to do what he wants to do when he wants to do it and my daughter talks back when I'm just trying to help. I'm going insane with not being able to discipline them the way I want to because we are living with mom and her husband. Can anyone help me plz? I feel like I'm going to have a nervous breakdown and soon. Thanks!

My brother is almost 3 and my mom hasnt potty trained him! (I am much older and I don't, or ever have, lived with my mom.) He also barely talks. He can't form sentences. He knows what you are saying. He can respond to things. Is this obivious abuse? The goverment has taken my brother and sister away but they gave them back. They took them away since my mom was on drugs and had a really messy house. Even human fecies on the floor. Yet, the goverment feels she has "changed."

My 15 month old has had her dad tuck her in every night of her little life. On the few occasions that he hasn't been there to do so. She will scream and throw a fit for hours on end until he is able to tuck her in. This hasn't really been to big of an issue for us. Seeing as how he worked day shift and could be here every night. Well he just got a new job. That will pay the bills a little easier. And of course he had to take it..even though it puts him on night shift. Working from 6p.m. until after 2 a.m. Well I put her to bed at her normal time (9p.m.) and she is still throwing a fit. I don't know what to do. I've tried everything I can think of and nothing is working. I really need some help.

On Thanksgiving, while at a friends house my 2 year old swallowed a quarter. We ran her to the ER, they x-rayed her, then said go home it should come out in a few days.It is now Monday, It did not come out so I took her back got another x-ray and it hasn't moved. They told me go home and come back Friday. I asked, "then what ?" and he said nothing. So, now I made an appointment for tomorrow with another doctor for a second opinion. I am just worried that this Quarter isn't gonna come out on it's own. How long should I keep waiting and is she going to be ok?

My little girl understands everything I tell her but she does not talk. She doesn't even attempt to say anything. She does make noise with her mouth but it sounds like "ah-ah-ah" We are scheduled to see a speech pathologist in 2 weeks. I have taught her a few basic sign language signs and she will use them but I want her to speak not sign. I am getting really concerned because when I compare her to other kids her age they are staring to make sentences and she doesnt even have one word mastered. I know I shouldnt compare her but it is difficult and others have pointed it out to me several times. I am trying to be repetitive with our daily routines and say the same things over and over but nothing seems to help. Does anyone have any suggestions?
