Try Pediasure. It costs some good money, but one of those will get her the nutrients that she needs for the day that all that milk would give her. Plus, there's differnet flavors. If that doesn't work, talk to your doctor and maybe there is some kind of powder vitamin that you can introduce into her foods or even the water. But, keep trying w/ the milk. It could be just a stage!

Good Luck!

There is no problem if your child refuses to drink milk during lunch or dinner as long as he/she gets a nutritional diet through the rest of the day. Do not force a child to drink or eat anything. if they are forced they will hate it for the rest of their life. Maybe this is just a phase, when they want it they will come and ask for it. Actually drinking water is very good for health and the more they drink the better for them.

It's a phase, don't worry yourself over it. Milk is important for calcium, to build strong teeth and bones. Your baby can get sufficient calcium from other food sources. Make sure she takes a children's vitamin daily. I'm a mom of 3, all mine had some weird eating habits/phases they went through. Personally, I grew up having milk with every meal and I can't stand milk now that I'm 44. Don't create a forced dislike of a certain food because of a phase - it's sort of a power struggle right now. Let her alone, offer her milk once every week or 2 to see if she's ready to try it again. She probably will eventually.

Maybe she doesn't like alot of milk. If she refuses to take the milk maybe it doesn't tast right when she drinks it to her any other time than in the morning ( yes I know this sounds weird ) because her body knows what it needs if she wants water give it to her thats a good thing water is healthy for her.

I am an early childhood education major. Your daughter may simply be going through a phase where her tastes are developing. She is one and old enough for some solid foods, so you may wish to give her calcium in a different form such as cheese or a milk byproduct. If she is refusing breast milk, she may be ready to advance to different foods. If she has already weened from the bottle or nursing, and is not drinking dairy milk it may be a simple phase. However, she may be telling you her body cannot handle it and may have an allergy. Keep watching her, try dairy in other forms, and if it keeps up you may wish to contact a doctor concerning allergies.

Well Thank God she wants water, my 2 year old stoped drinking milk at 1 1/2 and still to this day does not drink it, I have to give her vitamins with calcium and cheese, yogerts etc. She doesnt even drink water. So if your baby atleast drinks a little thats great and during the day try making smotties with 6oz milk berries and ice cream or frozon yogert.

A child that is 1 typically needs to have about 16-24 ounces of milk a day. Does she eat other dairy like cheese (soft cheeses are great for that) or yogurt? Because my daughter isnt a big milk drinker either and her nutrionlist said as long as she is getting her calcium and other goodies elsewhere then its probably ok. Yogurt is a good thing for little ones because you can get a flavored one they will just eat it up as quick as you can spoon it in.

My 17 month old will not drink milk at all,and never has, she takes a daily vitamin with calcium (with her pediatricians approval), and I also give her plenty of food that has calcium like cheese. A friend told me to try goats milk because it is said to be sweeter and has the vitamins she needs. I would also suggest speaking to your child's doctor!!

Thats probably a good thing. Humans are the only animals on earth that drink milk after we are weaned.

She may be allergic to it but not be able to tell you in words.

Also milk has been linked to child obesity because people listen to the slogan "milk does a body good" (who said that anyways? the milk companies, cause they want to sell more milk!!!!) whole milk is like 50% fat

Milk also causes your lungs to produce mucus because it gets stuck to the roof of your mouth. Thats why you see so many snot nosed kids

I would encourage her to drink water because that is what our body is mostly made of. I know this is 100% different from your pediatrition, but I hope you will trust me.
