My son recently started daycare where he needs to bring his lunch. He is 21 months old, so it has to be something he can eat easily without too much mess. They also want it to be something that doesn't need refridgeration. Any suggestions for a healthy lunch to send him with? I need ideas! :) Thank you.

The place is a daycare/preschool at a church. They do have a fridge in the infants room. They just prefer the toddlers to bring non-refridgerated. It's a great daycare, I've checked them out! :)

BLC (Bacon, Lettuce, Ceasar) Sandwich
Multigrain bread, sandwich sliced
Lettuce, shredded
Cheese slices (American, Swiss, or your favorite)
Ceasar salad dressing
Pepper to taste
Bacon strips
Toast bread. Top with cheese slices and melt cheese in toaster oven. In a small bowl, add dressing to lettuce and toss. Smother salad over cheese and lightly pepper. Cook bacon in microwave or frypan and place strips over salad. Add some pickles or olives if you like. Place toasted bread on top to make a delicious lunch that kids will enjoy!
Robin Hood Wrap
1 package tortillas
Cold cuts, sliced from the deli (ham and turkey)
American cheese
Swiss cheese
Chopped vegies (lettuce, cucumbers, pickles, olives)
Mustard and mayonaise
Lay a tortilla out flat and spread with mayonaise, then mustard. Then layer with a slice of ham and a slice of turkey. Next add a slice of American chesse and a slice of Swiss cheese. Add lettuce, olives, cucumbers, and pickles. Roll up your wrap and cut into round bite-sized pieces. Pack in an airtight container. Simple to make and great for school lunches!
Ned's PBJ Sandwich
peanut butter
grape jelly
2 slices bread
Mix peanut butter and jelly together in a bowl until completely blended (should be an icky gray color). Spread on sandwich bread. It doesn't look that pretty, but it sure tastes GREAT (trust me).

what kind of daycare is this? you better be careful, and you may want to even call the department of health. I can't see any daycare requiring you to bring your own lunch and then not supply refrigeration.
Can they heat up some of those Gerber graduates microwave cup meals for him? Most sandwiches need to be kept cold and I can't think of one thing for a healthy toddler lunch to help you out. I'm so sorry.

Try crackers, maybe some of those lil vienna sausages. Maybe cheerios for the snack? I dont really know without refridgeration.... they're making it quite difficult for you with so many restrictions! My old daycare would allow me to bring a tv dinner for my son if i wanted to! They would cook anything I wanted for him. Maybe you should look into a different daycare! lol Good luck :)

You have to get Gerber Graduates! They are the best. They cost about $2.00 a box (much less than that at walmart). They are like microwave meals, but they don't need to microwaved or even refrigerated.
They are sealed so they can last long. They come with vegetables and there are many different combinations and they get better and better.
Also it's fast because all you have to do is put them in the bag. You can even save money if you sign up on Gerber site they will give you coupons.

Anything Peanut-butter, if, he likes it. A healthy drink, Fruit Juice, SOBE Lizard Fuel goes over well. Then a Mars, 3 Musketeer or Hershey Chocolate bar for Strength! Ha! Also, as he get older he can use the Candy Bars as Bargaining Power to look up girl's dresses. Good Luck.
