last night i took my daughter to have pics with santa.. we were the first in line.. i put her on santas lap - she cried like i figured she would.. but the person the had working the camera was a young girl who wasnt trained and the normall lady was late! this girl didnt know what she was doing and was getting confused i told her what pics i wanted and she just didnt comprehend. then the santa stands up and says to me whats your problem you need to figure out what you want were are missing other peoples pictures...(not my fault they stuck another couples kid on santas lap before this girl was ready!) never the less he yelled at me in front of all those families! i was so embarresed i started crying when we left. they spent no time with me to figure out the pictures they just pushed me along... $ 40 later and i didnt get the pictures i wanted.

would you call a manager and ask for a refund? or what would you do if this happened to you?
thanks for your opinions

Do you think it's just an imagination or do some of you belive that some kids actually see something? My daugter is 3 and honestly, sometimes it seems to go beyond imagination (and it doesn't seem that "friendly" either). And it's not like monsters at night or so, she sleeps well, it's during the day she keeps telling me she sees and it's scared of something or suddenlly she just freaks out. It all started out of the blue last week and getting worse...

I find it very hard to buy for guys for some reason. In past years I've done clothes, jewelry and some electronics, but I can't think of anything to get them this year. This will be my first Christmas ever away from my family, and I'd like to make it special for them. Please help!

My son's preschool class just got told that someone in their class has had lice and they checked the kids and just about everyone of them had it.

What can I use to kill them besids the toxic shampoos? He doesn't like sittin still and i'm afraid he would get stuff like that in his eyes or mouth.

i know to like wash all bedding, pilliows, steam clean the couch, put stuffed toys up in a bag for 2 weeks or in the dryer, and boil all brushes and combs. Is there anything else?

My husband works second shift and isn't always around durring the week. She has always been closer to me because he isn't always home but lately she won't pay any attention to her father. If he picks her up she cries and pushes him away. If I tell her to hug him she won't. What do I do. I know he hasn't done anything negative to her because I'm always home with them when he's around. Should I leave them alone so she has to depend on him for things? His feelings are realy hurt. I don't want them to drift apart. He loves her so much.

No disrespect meant to all the wonderful childminders/childcarers out there but I just feel so nervous about leaving my little boy. He is two and a half and I have never left him with anyone but family before. I go to Uni two days a week and my mum has been looking after him so far and although she protests, she is not that well at the minute and I think he is getting too much for her, she is only in her late 40's but she had a bad illness recently and it's left her drained, but anyway I don't burden her with childcare duties at the minute (I do pay her by the way, even though she protests about that too) and Im considering a child minder but I just feel so nervous to leave him, how can I be sure he will be completely safe? my friend used a child minder who had great references but her little girl kept coming home with bruises and being withdrawn and it turned out to be the child minde hitting her!! I can't stand the thought of it happening to my little one, Im pretty torn.

Thanks.

My 22 month old daughter has all of a sudden taken an extreme disliking to having a bath !!!
She used to love it, playing with the bubbles and toys but always hated getting her hair washed as she hates the water going over her face !!! I even tried the visor that goes round her head but over the past month she screams her wee lungs out and grips on to me utterly terrified when i take her in the bath !!!
I don't know why the sudden change !! She is absolutely petrified !
I feel i can't put her through this anymore !
It's easy enough to was her down with a sponge but it's the washing the hair thats a problem.

Has this ever happened with your kids ??
Is it a phase ???
Any advice ??
She won't even let me hold her head over the sink or a basin !

She asked us to leave Thanksgiving because he took his spill proof sippy cup into her living room. A rule I was not aware of. Christmas is coming up, and I am not looking foward to hearing what a irresponsible parent I am. I admit, he does not behave like her kids, but he is only two. Is it wrong to let him be a toddler. Rules are easier to understand with age, right?

My 2 1/2 year old drinks 3-4 sippy cups of milk at night. He consumes 1/2 gallon of milk per day. Doc says it's too much...that he needs more variety of foods. Bed wetting is a big problem at night. I spend most of the night refilling his milk and changing his diapers and sheets. I am a tough mom, but always seem to cave on this one. I've tried several times -- last time he screemed for three weeks straight! I just couldn't handle it anymore. I know that he'll just go back to sleep if I give him another sippy cup of milk. He's not fooled by water, and water only adds to the bed wetting problem. I'd rather not take away the sippy cups since he's not totally ready for regular cups. Do I need to take away milk entirely for a while until he grows out of it? Please tell me how you did it. Thanks!

It usually takes 3-4 tries at bedtime before she stays in her bed to sleep. She's learned quite a few stall tactics. She wakes up 1x, btwn 12-3am, and I put her back in bed and lay w/ her (about a 1/2 hr) untill she falls asleep. She then wakes up early @ 7am and sleeps in our bed untill 8am. She takes an afternoon nap from @ 1-3, give or take, and bedtime is 8pm. W/ her stalling, she usually falls asleep btwn 8:30-9pm
