ear infection definately!!!!!!!!! my son is 2 and has dealt with this problem a lot...... at first there usually are no symptoms except high fever, but if you wait a couple of days, he'll start tugging at his ears..... push on the pressure points under his ears... sometimes if it is severe it will hurt him...... also my sons first ear infection was at 16 months and in the last 11 months, he has had 7 ear infections... his doc is now looking at tubes...... Good Luck!!!!!

Also give luke warm baths every couple hours until the water cools then take him out....... And put him only in a diaper.... turn on a fan. and wrap him in blankets... I say let him sweat it out.... some people may not agree, but that is honestly the ONLY way that I can get MY sons fever to break.........and when I let him sweat it out.... I usually put him in bed and tuck him in real good, then about an hour later I will go back in and the fever will be gone... his pillow and sheets are soaked of course but putting him to bed is the only way I can get him to lay still with his blankets..

infections are the only thing that cause fevers, if he hasnt broke 102 u should take him to the ER, a fever should never be that consistant. It might only be an ear infection but it could also be something like appendicitis which is fatal in children this young. Why risk it. Give him pedialite icies, and take im a cool bath if hes fever doesnt break take him to the ER.

Infection usually. His body's temperature is rising to make him sweat it out.
All you can do is keep him cool.
Give him the baby tylenol like u have been, and PLENTY OF FLUIDS. Do not let him dehydrate. Even if he doesn't want milk or water, keep offering. Leave him in his diaper and wipe him with a damp cloth..i know it seems cruel, but you wanna lower that temperature. You don't need any damage. I bet once the fever has broke he'll be fine.
Cool him off.
Not sure what else to tell you, but good luck with this.
I hope it lowers soon!

A fever is a way of trying to fight an infection. It also could be a ear infection. My kids also had a fever like that to but one had a ear infection and the other had influenza A and they dont do any thing for that. I am glad you are taking him to the dr.

My daughter would get fevers when she was teething. Could this be the issue? How is the babies throat? Maybe strep too.
