Pointing the penis down seemed to help with the boys I took care of, and I would recommend the Parents Choice brand of diapers at Wal-Mart's, they are inexpensive and are very absorbant. Id would also buy a plastic sheet to go on his bed under his regular bedsheet, it wont stop how much he urinates but this will help save the mattress.
If limiting his drinks and changing at 11 doesnt help, try to not let him sleep with a bottle or sippy cup, that is just more fluid going in him. I would also consider taking him to his pediatrician for a check on his kidneys and bladder. Some people overproduce urine, so even when they are not drinking much still have to urinate a lot. Several things can cause that including diabetes, and other illnesses. Better safe than sorry.

This may be a dumb or obvious answer that you already tried, but change the diaper brand. With all my neices and nephews...and there are a lot, we found that they each had a diaper brand that worked best for them. (store brands kinda sucked all around.) Anyway, even if the most expensive brand does the trick, you can conserve by only using those at night. Even my neices and nephews got the store brand when we were short on cash, and we used those around the house.
You also may want to determine if what he is drinking has any effect on the amount of urine he is producing at night. Certain drinks effect me in that way, (vitamin water and sugary drinks have me going all day long.) I would imagine that a baby has the same types of patterns...it is just harder to determine because he is a baby and can't keep track.
Good luck...plastic sheets work, and if you don't have those, grandma used to line the bed wetters beds with garbage bags when necessary.

Try huggies overnights, they are kind of expensive but they tend to hold more pee. Also try huggies supremes, they also tend to hold more. If you use the cheap brand, you might want to invest on a good quality diaper just for night time. Restricting his drinks is a good idea and i'd continue to do that. Make sure that his "thing" is pointed down and not up or to the side, that is a big cause of peeing out of a diaper. Also try putting powder in his diaper, that will help soak up some of the urine. You might also want to evaluate his diet and cut out some of the salty and or sugary foods which could cause excessive thirst. good luck with everything and i hope some of this helps.

I use Huggies size 4 for my 21 month old, we are also potty training. I had the same problem when I would let him have his settle down sippy of milk 1 hour before bed time. I cut that back to 2 hrs before bedtime. Now I take him to the potty to pee before night time diaper.
Also the 2 pc. pj's elastic on the pants would pull his diaper down, found one pc. better to keep clothes dry while sleeping.
I also change his diaper before I go to bed (3-5 hrs) after he's asleep. And the penis thing does work too.
Good Luck.

Hi, Babies wet more when they are cold. Make sure he has heavy pajamas(those with the feet in are good) and plenty of blankets. Check that he is covered when you go to bed. You can buy nighttime diapers that are more absorbent and they might help too. Use rubber pants and make sure the diaper is completely covered(not hanging out above the rubber pants) after you put them on. I hope this will help solve your problem. Good Luck!

My daughter was having this problem. Now we use the goodnites diapers in a size larger than what she normally wears and so far they have woked (fingers crossed). But they come in size 4 and up to big kid sizes. So there should be some that fit your son! Good Luck!

It's time to start "Potty Training". Once a child becomes a certain age, then urination becomes more heavier and more frequent. Even the largest sized "Pampers" will not hold it all. Believe it or not: BOYS URINATE MORE THAN GIRLS.
Start by monitoring his fluid intake during the day. At least 15mins after having a drink, take him to the potty, and show him what to do. Taking him to the potty SEVERAL TIMES A DAY,gets him to understand what's going on. (Dad: "Take him when you have go too!,explain to him what your doing, and why?).
You'll have to do this before bedtime, then get him up at night,to take him again. When he's alseep (let say by midnight),check for wetness. If he's already wet, change him, then take him to the potty anyway. Whisper softly to him (while he's sitting) to "pee-pee".
Once he starts to learn what's happening, then he will automatically wake up during the night,be patient, and praise him for his good job!. (Pleasant Dreams!)

I additionally got here upon that my son leaks at night whilst using Huggies, i'm placed in Australia yet i take advantage of Coles variety which luckily is 0.5 the value and he would not leak them, for me in my view I additionally got here upon that my boy's particular physique shape appropriate some nappies and not others because of the fact the leg section could be snug on some and gaping open with others. The Coles variety absorbs plenty and molds him nicely. Oh and prefer the girl above me stated, we additionally could circulate up a diaper (they are noted as nappies right here lol) :) length if it happened to the Coles variety.

You might try using two diapers, or do they make diaper liners. I would mention this to the pediatrician. Limiting his fluid intake after 6 should help.
