last night i took my daughter to have pics with santa.. we were the first in line.. i put her on santas lap - she cried like i figured she would.. but the person the had working the camera was a young girl who wasnt trained and the normall lady was late! this girl didnt know what she was doing and was getting confused i told her what pics i wanted and she just didnt comprehend. then the santa stands up and says to me whats your problem you need to figure out what you want were are missing other peoples pictures...(not my fault they stuck another couples kid on santas lap before this girl was ready!) never the less he yelled at me in front of all those families! i was so embarresed i started crying when we left. they spent no time with me to figure out the pictures they just pushed me along... $ 40 later and i didnt get the pictures i wanted.

would you call a manager and ask for a refund? or what would you do if this happened to you?
thanks for your opinions

i would definitely call or see the manager of the santa place. Tell them what happened. The respectful thing would do is for "santa" to give you an apology. Maybe he had a bad day, but its still no reason to yell at you in front of all those little kids! Imagine what some of them think of santa now! And hopefully you explained to your daughter about santa's behavior (if she's old enough to understand), tell her its one of his "helpers" and not the real santa. So sorry you had such a bad experience with what should have been a great time for you two!

First off, why on earth would you want pictures of your baby crying on Santa's lap, not really a memory that i would cherish forever. Second, you are not at The Picture People, they are not going to take time and pose your child and grant your every wish, especially when your daughter is not cooperating. I'm not saying its right but its the truth. Santa should not have stood up and created more of a conflict though, but could you imagine having senseless parents shoving screaming babies in your face all day just so they can get an overpriced picture. Hope your kid isn't old enough to realize that you got yelled at by Santa.

With your added information. Why would you have ever actually paid for the pictures in the first place? You could have rightfully denied payment. If you were not presented with the choices of packages you should have stopped at that moment and took care of all of you concerns. The situation that took place was not a good one but it seems as if there is nothing that you would be able to do about it. You could voice your opinion to management but I'm sure you would be wasting your breath with the high volume of calls that they are receiving this time of year.

DEFINITELY call the proper people and report what happened. That is crazy!
The guy should know that he has to wait until you decide what pictures, and if you want to take a long time then take a long time.
We live in Gatlinburg TN, and have the BEST Santa. He is there all year round, and is very nice.
If your Santa was in a mall then call the mall office and see what can be done. Everyone has a bad day, but Santa can't take it out on his customers!!

I don't think it's clear who caused the confusion about the pictures, you or the girl. I don't think you'll get a refund. However, you SHOULD get an apology from Santa for yelling at you in public. Or your daughter should, as she's likely to start hating Santa for making her mother cry. Look at your picture envelope for a company name, or talk to the store/mall management and ask them who you need to speak to about this.

I would call a manager and explain what happen and that you are not happy with the pictures after paying $40. They should offer to have you come and retake the photos; that would be good customer service. If they do not make that offer to you, you might want to take the problem to someone higher than that particular manager. If you are not getting the results you want it always helps to ask to speak with that person's manager, because some people do not have the authority to make the decision. I hope that helps.

I would file a complaint with the management. If this was the Santa in a mall, go to the mall office and complain.

I would contact the mall manager. There is no excuse for his behavior. If you did not get the pics you wanted, then by all means ask for a refund.

Id call the manager for sure. That Santa had no business treating you and your child that way.
