I don't know what your religious beliefs are, but there is a really good Christian book called "Go Away Dark Night" it's not really about monsters, but it's about getting over fears of sleeping alone and things like that...hope that helps! Good luck!

Well in their mind there is such a thing. Give them a spray bottle filled with water and tell them it's monster spray that gets rid of monsters. That way they can control when there is monsters or not. When they are scared they can spray the monster spray......

I haven't had this problem but I have heard several of my friends tell me that the "monster spray" thing worked for them. Just get a small spray bottle with water and tell them that it's a magic spray that will get rid of monsters. Let them take inventory of their room just before bedtime. Let them spray where ever they think the monsters are. Then let them keep the bottle by their bed. It worked for my friends. When I was little it wasn't monsters that bothered me, it was nightmares. My dad used to tell me that when I woke up afraid from a nightmare, to pray and ask Jesus to make the bad dreams go away. It always worked!!!

Sometimes, the only thing you can do is con them. For instance, go to the bedroom window and open and close the blinds twice. Tell them this is a signal that monsters are off limits at your house.

children are not afraid unless someone has threatend and scared him. now it's your job to try and fix something that someone else did to him.
who ever is scaring him. i would most certainly let them know that your not happy w/ this situation, they should have to take some responsibility about the damages they or who ever it maybe, tell them they need to fix what they broke on your little man.
leave lights on. lay down w/ him when it's bed time. leave bedroom door open. show him there is no boogie man, go w/ him to bed and ask him where it might be. check it out w/ him. and make a game out of it. laugh and joke while you are looking for the big bad boogie man. i've did that with my son. and it wasn't long and he never ever was scared.

In a nut shell you can't , you have to just help grow out of it. What I used to do with my kids was ask what was worrying them , this was normally before bed and they would say what they were scared of. I would them tell them to constantly think that thing or event over and over and eventually they get used to it and it is no longer scary. It is the way I taught myself how to get over watching scary movies before going to bed , would keep me up a little longer but I would slepp soundly after wards

You can't - 7 year olds are complex and growing, you can only reassure them, make them feel safe and be there when they need you to be.
