I was thinking of having it at a nice park. Know of any parks in Los Angeles or Whittier area that can be rented? Thanks, you suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :)

... I can not get him to stand up and pee. He insists on sitting. I have had my boyfriend try to show him and even tried the old cheerio trick but nothing will work. One of the little boys at daycare even tried showing him how to do it and he will stand there and just hold it and make the comment "it's stuck" (meaning the pee). I'm not too concerned right now becuase he is still kind of young, but I don't want him to be in gradschool and still sitting on the potty instead of standing like boys do. Any suggustions?

My son is 4 and is very slow to transition to new situations. Some people might call him shy. I run a preschool out of my home and get together with other mom's frequently, so he has quite a lot of contact with other kids his age. In situations like this, he is very social and normal. But when he has to be anywhere without me, he cries and says he doesn't want to go. He even cries about the idea of preschool or school (which saddens me, because I am a teacher and I LOVED school when I was little). When I put him in drop-off classes, he doesn't make any friends and cries everytime I take him. (I make him finish the classes anyway.) Some people say that I should just put him into preschool and let him suffer through it. Others say that I should ease him into social situations by signing him up for drop off classes, like karate, etc. Still others say he'll grow out of it. What do you think?

He pees in the potty and after he started to do #2 he tell us he needs to use the potty. He just started a new daycare and I'm having problems because the school said the three year old children have to clean thereselves after doing #2, and there's no way a 3 year old can clean thereselves properly without making a mess.

Ok I need help being creative! I am supposed to turn my Father's Day ideas into work TOMORROW and am totally hitting a stump! I have no idea what to have them make. Most of the children that will be making it are 2-3 but they vary in age from 1-10. Of course the younger ones I will help but it can not be too difficult however it can not be boring for the older ones!
I need amazing creative fun ideas that cost VERY little to no money. PLEASE help!!!

Little kids like 2 and up. This makes me mad. Can I report this place or the employees? I doubt many parents would like someone telling their young children to shut up.

My son, Tyler is turning 3 on June 8th. We're not really doing anything but having cake and things, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to send him a little birthday message. Post an anwser that says something like HAPPY BDAY!! With a joke, fun website etc. Which ever one he thinks is most funny or fun etc. he'll pick! I'll show it to him as a surprise on his birthday tommrow. ( I have two other kids, NIGEL born MAy 13th, 2006 & NICK born July 3rd, 2001.)

So my son's birthday is-

Tyler Luke- born on June 8th, 2003.

Thanks so much it'll mean an awful lot to him!

My son is four (will be 5 in August), and has a loose tooth. Barely loose, but loose. Is this too early? About a year ago he hit this tooth when he and his father were playing, and it has always been a little darker than the rest. Any information is appreciated.

I don't actually use the words "clean your plate" but that is basically the message I am sending. I have a 5 and 3 year old. My 3 year old is the worst about not eating. Am I going to make her overweight? I am always telling her she can't have any milk until she eats her food "all gone". Is that going to give her a mindset that she should always eat everything on her plate instead of eating until she is full. I am so confused!

My 2 year old son is very shy to the point that he screams and cries if a stranger says hello. I am considering putting him in daycare one day a week to get him used to spending time with other adults. We went there for an hour today to see what it was like and he loved it. I know that it will probably be different when i'm not there. I am a single mum who is just trying to do the best for her son. Please any advice or past experiences would be appreciated!
