I read time and time again on here about people choosing television programs for young children and am constantly shocked. Studies have PROVEN that television is the cause of many problems in children. I have a two-year old who is yet to watch television, I feel that there are so many more things she can be doing with her time. Are there any other parents out there who believe that television is not good for children?

Is my child progressing normally. She is 2 1/2 years old. She started crawling and walking fast. Now, she's been at home mostly. She has been in daycare for over 1 year now. She says about 10 words. I worried because other kids her age speak more than she does. She still speaks in baby talk. I am stressing myself out. It's frustrating. I want to talk to her, but she won't even listen when I read to her. She understands what I am saying. She responds to me with yes or no answers. When I tell her to do something, she does it most of the time. I need help. I worry about her constantly. Her dad was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and she has the symptoms. I am not sure if that is affecting her speech and development.

When i decided to start teaching my son how to dress himself, i decided that i would use his stuffed horse names charlie. he wears the same size as my son and and he could look at it everyday. well, i dressed the horse and told my son that this is the way i want to see him dressed everyday. now he gets up in the morning and sees charlie horse and go to his clothes and puts on an outfit simular to what the horse is wearing. should i have done that diferent? i dress the horse everyday, what if i forget one day? how will i break him of dressing like the horse? should i be worried?

Last night my grandparents went to a dance recital for my 3 yr old cousin that was 3 1/2 hours long! Is that ridiculous or what? 3 yrs old in my opinion is too young to be taking dance lessons and even worse that those poor 3 yr olds have to stand up there and dance for 3 1/2 hours. What do you think?

so for my nephew's 3rd birthday i wanted to get him something special, so i decided to get him one of those ABC's play mats that are made out of foam and connect together cuz he is always playing on the floor, & gets in trouble for getting his clothes dirty i even asked his mother if it would be an ok gift for him, she said yes that sounds great. well we all live together. when the little boy saw the gift he loved it and thought it was the best thing in the world, and played with it sevral times. now i over heard the parents complaining that they dont want to clean it up and this that & the other about the gift, but the little boy loved it. now almost 2 weeks ago i saw that it is no longer in the place where the toys are kept, & i havent noticed him playing with it mind you he would when he saw it. i am very offended that it is now missing. cmon i live with them so its not like im not going to notice that something i paid $50 for is missing. i am verymad what should i do about this??

My daughter's birthday is coming up, and I was wondering if there are any certain things a 2 year old "must-have." Typical toys or gifts that she will have fun with at her age.
