calling all babysitters!?

i really want to babysit. so do a couple of my good friends. we have been thinking of starting a club. but we are not the best at advertiseing. how do my friends and i advertise our new club safely? please help us!

You gotta be forceful and you have to pressure people into listening to you. Hold only a couple of flyers at a time, stand at the entraces and exits of super markets, malls, plazas, and openly confront people and hand them your fliers and explain your buisness. Offer reasonalbe fees.

I am a mother and would love a babysitter but I'm sure you're in America and I'm not. The best way is advertising in your school newsletter and other junior schools. There are also health check centers for children and infants but the more schools you get around to the more business you will get.

Give some flyers to your mother's and father's, so they can hand them out to parents they work with. Also, hang them up in your churches, the local YMCA, and places like that. Go to the park and hand them out. Put them on your neighbor's doors. You town probably has a local MOM's Club or other mother's group that would be a great place to hand out flyers or give out your informatino. Also, count on word of mouth a lot, because a good word can go far.

You might try giving a few of your neighbors or current customers a free baby sit for passing out some flyers to their friends with kids or playgroups.

Don't forget to take a babysitting class and/or CPR & First Aid class to make yourselves more marketable.

Make up fliers and take them to places like churches, grocery stores and other places where they have bulletin boards.

On the flier explain you're teens and what you are offering, if you need transportation beyond a certain point (like more than five miles need transportation assistance).
Give sample of prices you will be charging and what that price includes - housework, cooking, taking kids for walks, etc.

For contact information - give the number of your mom's cell phone so she can screen the phone calls before anyone talks to you. Do not give your address or your full name. Just list you and your friends first names on the flier or don't put names on it at all.

I am a babysitter and the way I got a lot of word out was from my mom. Just get your friends together and have them ask their mom's to spread the word about ya'lls club. Your mom could tell friends, co-workers, everyone. Belive me, there is good $$$$$ in babysitting!

you sound young, so i will tell u what i did, as a part of the high school i was going to i volunteered at a preschool, the kids loved me sooooo much that the parents started putting up flyers and business started booming!!! i was booked for 4 months!!!! i made sooo much $$$$

but to your question, what you need is word of mouth, if a parent likes how you are with their kids, then they will tell their friends who have kids and so forth. but parents are not just going to see a flyer and call the ## and trust some stranger with their pride and joy. you need to be trusted to get business...GOOD LUCK!!

They have this babysitters kit by american girl they sell it at barns and nobles. it covers clubs, advirtising, emergancys and more i think, but i'm pretty sure. might want to check it out, (i know it sounds little girlish, but its a good book oops... kit)
