Thursday on the last day of school my four year old son Carmelo was walking home with his two friends and he had spray paint. He sprayed west side on the side of somebody's house. They called the cops and I had to go pick him up from the police station. I do spank my kids but do you think is serious enough to spank him?

The man is destroying an entire generation of youth with parenting propaganda that helps mold the young into beleiving that they are "owed" something from society, and the world is just this bunny rabbit, and peachy zone of utopia and dandelions and peace. Allowing the parents to be overran by the kids is his fundamental philosophy. Is not that the basis of the anti-christ prophecy? War and terror, and then out of the blue, a reign of peace? Is not his handiwork teaching parents and kids to accept this? Millions of parents worldwide adopt his principles like a bible, and kids go undisciplined and unruly as a result. I don't know, it's just a musing...

Everything is very enteric/sugar coated for kids now days. I'm just wondering at what age should I explain the War going on, and the situation in this world to my kid age 5. Or, should I just keep spoonfeeding him the Teletubbies and Dr. Sears until he is 17?? He's already asking what "terrorisim" is. Because he "sees it on the news all the time".

He puts it in his hair it with his hands throws it on the floor, throws it on the dog. Puts the plate on top of his hair. It is really funny, however am I supposed to be starting to teach him not to do all of the above. Or is it still to early.

Ever since our son was born (he is seven months old now) I havent been able to spend enough time with my daughter and I feel really guilty. I know it hurts her, and I want to be able to better balance my time between the two... Is there any fun Mother and Daughter activities that we can do together at home... I never want my child to feel like I love her less just because the baby requires more attention sometimes... I am a SAHM and my husband works nights and sleeps of the day. So I am juggling the time between the two by myself... My daughter loves to draw and she loves pictures, well she loves to do anything with mom but do any of you have suggestions on some activities that I can do with her to let her know that I still love her and want to spend time with her... I try as much as possible to let her know she is special and loved, but I feel it isnt enough... so any suggestions you could give to me I would love to hear them... thanx a lot

ok, i have 3 girls, 3.5, 2.5, & .5 (8mo). they are darlings, and i am very lucky that i don't often have to disipline, however, recently my 2.5 is really loud and disobediant during afternoon naps. we have altered scedules and increased exercize to tire them out, but that's not the problem, the problem is in order to disipline her in bed, we have to give her attention, and it seems she is feeding off that, incouraging it so she has stimulation to stay up. we already start each time taking toys/dolls out of bed, but than what? most common methods (corner, scold, t/o, seperate) all give her attention, not to mention, don't work. i did escalate to a spanking when my oldest had the same issue, once, and it worked imediatly on her, she is still very good at nap time, but when i did this to my 2.5 , she giggled at me, (?) i don't give up easy, but today was the third in a week, same problem, same escalation (no toys, than scold, then spank(over 1 hours time)), same giggle. so now what?

He is no longer well behaved as he was before , and he just does'nt seem to listen when told once . Also behave like he never gets anything though he is been given more than any 4 yr old gets , be it toys , sweets , clothes , he even handles my laptop . When one starts saying something to him he starts crying , and creats a scene .

My son is going to be starting swimming lessons. I have purchased everything on the checklist. My son now seems to not want to do and is scared. Any advice on helping him cope BESIDES talking to him because of course I have been talking to him. We live in Oregon and are big beach trippers, fishers, boaters, so it is important and necessary for him to learn. He wanted to learn so I enrolled him, he had been asking me for about 9 months now, but I wanted to wait, so I enrolled him, I am going to stick to it because I gave in and enrolled him. I however do not want him to feel pushed, pressured, scared. Any thoughts?
