my son has a sticker stuck way down deep in his ear (paper sticker)?

Question

I took him to the E.R. and they cannot remove it, he is really sick but i have antibiotics and we have an apointment on monday with a specialist to remove it. The question is, how do I make hime more comfortable till then, he has an ear infection (obviously) and a really bad sore throat. I have given him ibuprofin and all that, but it only works for a short period of time. Any suggestions?

I would suggest some popsicles for his throat. Pedialyte pop are great especially if he is not eating alot because of the pain. They also make childrens medicine in a sucker form which might be easier for him to take especially because they taste so good. As for his ear a lukewarm compress on his face near his ear will work. Also try to get him to lay on the opposite side when he sleeps to keep pressure off of it. Try to distract him as much as possible with movies and games and fun things like that. Good luck!

I've read somewhere that a warm compress or even a cusion placed on the side of his face where the ear is sore will help!!! As for the sore throat i would try getting him to suck on ice and eat cold things as this usually can help!!

Poor little guy. I feel so bad for him. I don't think there is too much more that you can do for him that you are already not. We just have to hope that moday comes fast for him. good luck.
