I babysit a bunch of 2 to 3 and 1/2 yearolds what kind of things might make them pay attention and calm down i know thats partly just your nature when you are that age but i need advice anyone?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Help!!!!!!!!!!

A game or puzzle. Maybe a cute movie my baby cousin loves The Backyardigns try that... it comes on Disney Channel Or Nickelodeon??? One or the other. But try TV or every little kid loves to play in a sprinkler!! (If its hot where you are). Kids are easy to please just don't be afraid to get down and play too ... they love that!! Good Luck!

If they are really getting chaotic, then some of the things you might wanna try are:
1. Try to ignore them. They just might be doing that because they want to irritate you.
2. Know what their hobbies are and do it with them. Make them do things so that they can concentrate on that rather than making you irritated.

A simple craft, like just stringing a bunch of pony beads on a string for a necklace for their mother or something. that works for me. When i babysat for a little boy who likes toy trains, i got a Thomas the Tank Engine video and he loved it! either try to key into their interests or go with something more generic. Good luck!

Finger paints, coloring, simple games such as musical chairs, building with (big) legos. If nothing else works, let them run outside for an hour or so and then pop in a Barney tape!

Regarding your answer to my Bush poll and followup question:
Exactly right. They have no problem saying Bush is evil but no one can tell me why. There are many things I disagree with Bush on, but when you get right down to it, he means well. He really does have good intentions. Things just haven't worked out as he hoped. Thanks for the answer...
To call the kids down, have them watch the last state of the union speech. right to sleep!!! :)

MOVIES!!!thank goodness for findin nemo!!! if it wasnt for that movie i would go nutts!!lol well try movies dont go swimming or to a park u might reget that an yea any thing else fun 4 baby

puzzles blocks fat crayons and blues clues to get them to pay attention you need to use a firm voice or a time out also limit sugar caffeine and preservatives

AT AGE 2 AND 3, CHILDREN NEED TO HAVE DIFFERENT TYPE OF DRESSES TO PRETEND, THINGS THAT MOM USE IN THE KITCHEN, WOOD PUZZLES, PLAIN PAPER AND CRAYONS(FATEST SIZE),AND ALSO LOT OF BOOKS AND MOVEMENTS MUSICS.

coloring,computergames,movies,boardgames, make videos w/ a video camera, painting, trips to the park, games (hide&seek.etc.),play dress up, make kidsmusic CDs,

have them play with play dough, you can even make it with them and then they can play with it when it is still warm, i still remember what nice soft warm play dough feels like. it's a fun, creative thing to do and squeezing it with their hands relieves stress.
