My son is 2 yrs old, and he is starting to go to play school(started 3 days back). Everyday he goes to school he is in tears, clutching my hand tightly, doesn't enter the school(stands at the entrance, even when all other kids have gone inside). Today(3rd day), i had to pick him up early(unable to bear the plight of the kid). I know it is just the starting trouble and i DEFINITELY want him to mix around with other kids. Usually he does not have a problem with people(I dont think he is a loner), but the context of school seems to be a NO NO for him. Any advice to help him to look forward to go to school, will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My friend of six years just came back to town to live after moving away for a little over a year. I didnt see her in this time and when she left her daughter was fine. Upon seeing her today, her daughter is on the verge of being morbidly obease. I would guess her height to be about 4ft tall and 80lbs. I am lost at what to do. I was shocked when I saw her. I have kept in contact with her and we have remained good friends and I asked what happened with her daughter but she just said that its what she eats. At that point I just left it at that. To me, her answer comes across like she doesnt care cause after all, what a 4-year old eats is up to the mother/parents, right? I need help...I really want to help this litte girl. She is starting school shortly and I dont want her to be the "fat kid in the class". Any advice from anyone would be great. Thankyou...

he eats stage 3 baby food. My mom is paranoid about him choking, and this in turn has caused me to be also. He has about 4 teeth top and 4 bottom teeth. He can eat some lumpy foods though. Anyway my question is how do I introduce him to adult food baby sized.

my mother in law thinks my little girl is a tomboy because she plays with cars and likes to play outside and sometimes she likes to get dirty, but my daughter also loves to play dressup and loves to wear dresses... and play with her baby dolls... and it really pisses me off that she just automatically stereotypes my little girl... my little girl is neither a tomboy nor a girly girl... and it pisses me off that she says my niece is a girly girl and my little girl is a tomboy... i dont believe in stereotypes, what do you think i can do to let my mother in law that her stereotyping is ridiculous, and how do i get her to stop her from nitpicking about my daughter because shes always trying to find ways to make my neice better then my daughter, I know that i should be ignoring her behavior but it really urks me!!! Any suggestions?
