How do I keep water out of baby's ears (19month old boy) when i wash his hair? He does not sit still for me, he constantly moves around, so it's hard to tilt his head back and keep the water away from his ears. Any tips?

Yes, my father suggested the cotton balls, but won't they just get soaked?

Well a little water at bath time is not going to hurt anything. But my son has tubes in his ears and they tell us to put cotton balls with Vaseline. I cant guarantee they will stay in but thats what we have to do. And if u are worried about the water that may already be in the ear use a qtip with some rubbing alcohol that helps my hubby gets swimmers ear really bad and that helps him alot.

Actually a little water in the ears isn't a bad thing...it helps with the wax in the ear! Just make sure that you don't leave the water in there! After your son's bath, tell him that you want to "tickle his ears with a Q-tip" - you get the water out of his ears and he's happy too, so everyone wins!! Hope that helps and good luck...

I used to even have 2 toddler purple-Eared Slider turtles. when I first have been given them, I placed the water stunning as much as around their neck of they get used to the tank and that they might stroll and swim. yet then a pair of week when I raised the water a splash extra daily till it have been given to the precise and that they might get on the turtle topper. (this is an above tank basking area) stable luck :)

Use a washcloth and wash his hair that way, it is less traumatic as most children have a fear of water getting in their face anyway. I found that with a washcloth you have control of where the water goes and how much water you use. You could also try some waterless shampoo they make special for children.
