I have NEVER smaked my children and never will. They are very well behaved in general. When I ask him why he does this he says "it's because I love you".

She is starting school in the fall in Sure Start (like Head Start), and I am affraid this will cause problems. I have asked around and the doctor says definatly not before she is 2 (my daughter is 19months) yet other people say I should have started already. She is giving me some signs she is ready to start training, but I would just like some hints and tips from other mothers who've been here and done this. :o)

Some of the things they wanted her to know amazed me. Is anyone else overwhelmed with what kids should be taught? I thought I did a good job preparing her. She'll be 5 in July, so we decided to wait. Was that the best??

My daughter is getting better but she still is a brat right now. If I ask or tell her to do something she sometimes replies by hitting, scratching, biting or talking back. What works?

My children have been in foster care since January of this year and they are coming home on June 30th. Well they come to me and literally smell of urine. Their nails are long and the white parts are literally black. Yesterday I gave them a bath and I knew my bath tub was clean before I put them in. When they got out it was brown. My daughter who is 3 has started wetting her pants for no reason and she is fully potty trained, has been for awhile. My son who is 5 has to wear a diaper to bed and they never did this before. Any suggestions, only serious answers I don't need pricks making smart remarks.

I discovered that a man that is friends with my ex and friends with her parents has been visiting my children while I have been at work (she has been at work too) and buying my son gifts. I phoned her to ask what was going on. (when I met this man he was in his 40's and openly having a sexual relationship with a 17 year old). She was not there but by a coincidence this man (who also works with my ex) answered the phone. So I told him that it was actually him I wanted to speak to and why was he buying my son presents.

His reply was "what has it got to do with you"? Either he is grooming my son to impress my ex or he is grooming him for something more sinister. I then asked him if he was a paedophile and he threatened to kill me. My ex was a little upset with me but not everso, but my mother in law almost went beserk at me. (it was her house that this man had been using to groom my child).

Is it reasonable of me to ask that he never be allowed to buy my son gifts again?
