I'd wait till your child starts to cut teeth.
Then maybe start on something easy like Cooked Carrots,Peas, mashed potatoes or Cherrios Cereal...
But keep a CLOSE EYE on the child when you started to do this because when children 1st start to eat table food they have tendencies to choke....
Little by little they get the hang of it.

As soon as they show interest in eating the same food as you!! If your child is old enough to sit in a high chair, they can sit with you at the table when you have your family meal even if they have a different eating "schedule". Depending on your child, but from about 9 months onwards, they normally show interest in what you are eating and you can give little bits to try, preferably food they can manage with their hands: well cooked carrots, potatoes, little bits of breads, bananas. It doesn't matter whether your child has teeth or not, even when they are not through your child can sort of bite and chew. We did this with our 4 kids, and they all started eating at their own rhythm and with different preferences, but they are all easy eaters now, not fussy at all and always willing to try something new!

Depends on the child.
My daughter started eating Cheerios and soft foods around 9 months.
Some people give their kids table food very early, especially older people.

When my oldest was a baby, they said go ahead and start them on baby cereals at 6 weeks or sooner if they weren't sleeping through the night (the idea was that they were not getting enough food to tide them over til morning). When my youngest was little, they had changed it to waiting til at least 6 months, as formula was all a baby needs til then...so I guess the answer is to use your own discretion. You know your baby better than anyone else, and if he/she seem unsatisfied after they have a bottle, try mashed potatoes or grits or mashed peas or carrots. Applesauce, jello (little tiny bits) and cherrios are good starter foods for an older baby, too. Ask your ped. if you still have any questions, so that if your baby were to have any allergies to foods, he will know you are feeding table food!

By the age of 2 your child should really be eating most things. I nanny for a 2 year old and he has eaten this week: cottage pie, spagetti bolognase, chicken caserole, lamb chops all veges, banana bread and cereal. he also eats chicken drumsticks raw peppers and tomatoes and chunks of cheese. All of this has been introduced in the last 3 months as he would not eat any of this before that. Hope this helps

At 12 weeks is when the human stomach acid is produced, so weaning can if necessary start then. But not reccomended.
Full, proper tables meals, in my sons case. About a year old.
He is almost 2 and eats whatever he is given!

Your child can begin to have table food as soon as he/she has some teeth or by age 1. You start with things like yogurt, cottege cheese, applesauce, banana, cheerios, cracker, and mashed potatoes.

At the age of 2. They can eat Cheerios, rice and beans. Crackers and cheese blocks. Chicken you would have to cut it up for them. Certain things like those can begin to be eaten at the age of 2.

At 6 months they can start, that's when their teeth start to come out. At age 1 they can eat almost anything except fish, chocolate and soda drinks.
