Have your doctor use a warm soapy solution to drip into the ear canal. This will loosen up the sticker's adhesive and allow it to float away from the ear wall. Then take a pair of foreceps and gently remove the sticker. Irrigate and cleanse the ear canal and continue on with the antibiotics and follow up with the doctor after the infection heals. I've seen this work on a variety of items found stuck in childrens ears.

My MIL used to take a frying pan and make it really hot on the stove and then place a very thick towel over it and had my husband lay down on the floor in the kitchen. He said that really helped with the pain. He was a very sick child and that is the one thing he remembers the most as a child so I know it will work.
Also, my grandmother took a cotton ball and Vaseline and placed it in my ear and that helped too. I am not sure if you should try the Vaseline but I figure your child already has and ear infection and the Vaseline might help loosen the sticker if it gets down in the ear canal far enough.
As for the sore throat the ear infection is what is causing the sore throat so once the infection clears up that sore throat will too. Get some Chloriseptic that should sooth the throat.
Do not feel bad either my brother once took a toothpick and shoved it in my other brothers ear once while he was sleeping. So I know my brother knows your sons pain.

i wouldn't start poking around in there with tweezers, if the people in the emergency room couldn't get it out, just wait for the specialist. though i doubt you were going to. i used to get ear infections when i was little, i still remember what they were like. your son is probably going to want to stay calm and still, the more his head get jolted the worse it will be. on top of the ibuprofen and antibiotics, have him lie down with his ear on a heating pad, and let him watch TV or a movie to take his mind off the pain, i know it sucks to watch your kid go through discomfort like this, but kids if kids are distracted, they will not mind the pain to much. make sure he is not jostled or disturbed to much, and just wait it out.

Get an electric heating pad or wet a rag with very hot water ,put in a baggy and wrap with a towel, then place on his ear. This usually helps. My son got a crayon stuck in his and had to be removed. This stuff happens all the time.Have they tried putting water in his ear to loosen the sticker?Just a thought.

Just wait till Monday. You don't want no young ER intern poking in his ear anyway. I would suggest if the pain gets too bad though call the specialist , even though hes not in his office they will page him and you can at least talk to him. Even if your really worried I'd call tomorrow morning and just tell the answering service you at least want to speak with him or her.

It sounds as though your doing all you can.
Maybe give him a hot water bottle for his throat and ear.
When i was younger i was told to put a cotton ball in my ear to keep it warm and lie down on that ear when i went to sleep or rested.
A drink mix of lemon, warm water and honey is what my oma use to give me when i had a sore throat.
Hope things get better

I don't know where you live, but if the weather is nice try letting him swim. The only other thing i can think of is to do things that will help take his mind off of it such as movies, playing outside with him (something active and gross motor), or possibly Benadryl (make him sleepy if he's having trouble getting rest). Have you tried WebMD?

instead of taking him to the er for this you should have went to urgent care the er pretty much does nothing for things like this and if the specialist is in the same network then it is even more profitable to refer you to them urgent care facilities however actually treat the conditions brought to them if you haven't already done so, i would call the child's pediatrician and see what they say my daughter's pediatrician removed a watermelon seed from way deep in her nose so it is kinda similar he also told me that taking 1.5 times the recommended dose of Tylenol is safe and much more effective for longer periods of time im not sure if that would be safe with ibuprofen though cuz her Dr said for me to use Tylenol
