Phenergan is an antihistamine used to treat a number of conditions:
• Allergies - allergic contact dermatitis, hives, hayfever, bites and stings.
• Head colds - runny nose.
• Nausea and vomiting - motion sickness.
• Assists in the management of the symptoms of chicken pox and measles by acting as a sedative.
• For short term use for sedation on the advice of a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use for more than 7-10 days.

Your doctor may have prescribed Phenergan for another reason. Ask your doctor if you have any questions about why Phenergan has been prescribed for you.

Phenergan should not be used in children under the age of 2 years, because safety of such use has not been established.

Phenergan is not recommended for pediatric patients less than 2 yrs of age. It can cause hallucinations, convulsions, and even sudden death if given in large doses. Contact your pediatrician or family doctor before administering ANY drug to a child. If you have it DON'T GIVE IT.....
If you've given it CALL the POISON CONTROL CENTER or 911.
