every 30 minutes, sit him on the potty for about 2-3 minutes. so he doesn't feel like it's punishment, kind of talk and play with him while he's there. He will accidentally pee-pee into the potty during one of these sessions. When he does, jump up and down, clap, smile, praise him like he is the Son of God himself. Make it such a wonderfully happy and exciting moment, that he wants to do it again. Each time he pee-pees in the potty, make a bloody fool out of yourself jumping up and down. He'll do it for the entertainment. Soon, he'll realize that having all that stuff in your pants is really uncomfortable, so he'll start wanting to go potty for the sake of it. But it will take time.

Go to Barnes and Noble or any book store and get him, The Potty book by Karen Katz, It is a flip top book, it is fun to read and VERY easy and helpful, then every hour take him to the potty, if he throws a fit don't make him do it because then it becomes traumatizing, My son has been a PAIN to potty train and he is three then, just in the last few days POOF! He is always saying when he has to go potty and only has like one accident a day. But I chalk it more up to his daycare and seeing all the other kids go potty.... But they do the ever hour routine and I bought him that book so It can't hurt.

IT SHOULD BE EASY CAUSE A THREE YEAR OLD CHILD IS GROWN ENOUGH TO KNOW WHEN HE/SHE HAS GOT TO GO POTTY. JUST LET THE CHILD GO TO THE BATHROOM WITH YOU EVERY TIME YOU GO AND WHEN YOU ARE NOT GOING #1 OR #2 (HA HA) MAKE THE CHILD GO. START WITH TAKING THE CHILD EVERY HOUR EVEN IF HE/SHE DOES NOT "GO" THE KID WILL EVENTUALLY CATCH ON TO WHAT IS GOING ON. THIS SHOULD TAKE NO MORE THAN A WEEK OR EVEN A FEW WEEKS IF NO ONE HAS TAKEN TH TIME TO SHOW THE LITTLE KID TO GO POTTY.

Just take him/her to the bathroom whenever YOU have to go so they get the idea of what the bathroom is for. (And the toilet!) After a week or so of doing that, ask them if THEY would like to try it, and them walk them through it. With persistance and rewards your cousin will eventually learn. Good luck, though, 'cause it takes LOTS of patience! :D

Yeah- Get him in the potty and read a potty book. Say pee-pee when you have to go, and have him with you. You read the potty book when you pee. It's very hard- tonnes of work. Good Luck and bless you

The longer you let it go, the harder it's going to be. Don't put a diaper or underware on him. he'll learn pretty quick.
