I'm not to into Mary Kay, Avon, having tupperware parties, etc. I don't like the idea of babysitting or starting up a day care. I would like to work online, if possible- but do not want to waste time taking surveys or getting scammed.
If anybody has some good advice on how to make money while taking care of my 1 year old, please let me know!
What are some of you stay at home moms doing to make money? Thanks!

I have also heard some pediatricians giving the ok starting the baby earlier then 4-6 if they eat too much for there little tummies to handle. when did u start and how did things turn out? thanks

She's 8. The only reason I'm asking is because I live with them. Her mother babys her like I've never seen, and I kid you not, she just learned how to tie her own shoes this summer when he taught her because all she had to do was cry to get her way with her mother.

She cried over dinner tonight because she said her chicken was dry and then got mad when no one would make her anything else she kicked her brother, so he picked back on her and she started screaming at the top of her lungs until she was red in the face. (she can dish it out but can't handle anything from any1 about anything)

I'm not trying to take over her parenting or the childs disipline, but she doesn't have any sisters and I was just wondering if there's anything I could do to be a better example since im there now. (i'm an only child..)

Her mother has done a fine job in raising 3 boys I'm just concerned that since she's adopted and the only girl she's turning into a baby that gets away with murder

So in my town this lady ran some errands with her son who was under the age of 2 in the the backseat. She went and parked at his daycare and forgot he was in the car. She went on to work and when she walked to the daycare to pick him up they said he hadn't been there that day. That was when they found him in the car and tried to do CPR. He was already dead. The Commonwealth's Attorney had to get a different Commonwealth's attorney to take this case because he knew the parents of the child. I'm just wondering how you forget your child is in the car with you?

If you have ever had teenage daughter under the age of 18, and she got pregnant during that time, what did you think of it? Did you blame yourself? Did you wonder where you went wrong? Did you feel that you didn't raise your daughter right? If you are a mother, did you think it was because you were a single mother and your daughter had no father? Or did/do you think something was wrong with your daughter and she was crazy for doing that?

Or if you have a daughter at all, what would you think about this situation?

I am a teen and no I am not pregnant nor have I ever been. I see about 5 pregnant girls at my school and I just wonder this about their parents. It leaves me baffled.

Thank you ahead of time if you answer!

To feel special during the pregnancy too.. I seem to be getting loads of attention from him and other family members and he is working very hard to provide for the family and be at my beck and call when I need things helped with.

How can I show him how much I appreciate his help, hardworking, etc...

I want him to feel like a special daddy too!

I am 23 weeks, he talks to my belly, rubs it and kisses it, its so sweet and special he is looking forward to the day he can feel his boy kick him back!!
What can I do to make him feel like a special daddy in the meantime and not just the provider?

If you know what I mean, please provide some helpful tips or suggestions that have worked for you in the past maybe?

Thanks heaps!!

My oldest son will be 2 in November. I need a little advice on, I guess better discipline or something. Ok heres the deal, when I take him out somewhere and he doesn't get his way he acts like a total....MONSTER. I mean, screaming, crying, (fake of course). I spank him and it doesn't help. I think he only gets worse. I don't let him have his way when he acts like that. I just need some advice on what I could or should do when he does this.

Why do some people not take parenthood for real... I mean come on dont have children if you are not going to act grown-up! I hate people who hurt there children. You read in the news everyday about kids being killed, left behind, hurt in many ways! Why have a child if you are not going to feed him? I pray for these children!

I have a problem with a company that gives US jobs away to a communist country that treats it's emplyees like shi_. And then when it is brought to their attention that the toys that are made there can cause serious harm to US kids doesn't do anything about it for months. All for the bottom line! That is sick!

How funny it is now how they beg us for their business. Will you buy Mattel toys for your children?

i just got a call from the school. apparently what happened was this other boy had gone up to my daughter and told her that he liked her and wanted her to be his girlfriend. She said "no". he kept following her around until he had her cornered in the playground (during recess) and told her to kiss him, she told him no again and started crying, that's when my son stepped in, grabbed a hold of the boy, and almost knocked the kid out (gave him a bloody nose & his mouth was bleeding. Both boys were suspended. the other boy apologized, but my son wouldn't.he told me he wasn't sorry for what he did,and he would do it again if he had to(the Lord blessed me with a stubborn one).I'm a little confused on if/how i should punish him. both my kids (along with some of my other children) are still grounded and working off the damage they caused to our neighbors pool(they and a few other neighborhood kids were throwing rocks).opinions on how i can teach him a lesson in how violence in not the answer.

Hi My mother in law is a very nice woman. Shes kind, giving and most of the time really sweet. My problem is religion. My husband grew up in a baptist home, went to church two to three times a week, read from the bible almost every night as a family. Me on the other hand grew up more new age I guess. We read tarot cards, learned to meditate, learned to follow our own path, spent a lot of time outside exploring nature. I'm not a Christian, my husband knows this, he doesn't consider himself a Christian anymore. Life if fine and dandy, except his mother won't lay off. We have a six year old son and she keeps pestering us to have him go to church. I try to be nice and say "no thank you" but she won't stop. Its always something, the lord should be in his life, he needs church, why can't he come to bible school. She sneaks bible stories in our truck when we aren't looking, I give them back. My husband tells her to cut it out. I just don't know what else to do.

Birthday party etiquette?
My son (age 5) was invited to a b-day party this Sat. and I was wondering if it would be rude to ask the parents if my other son (age 6) could attend. All 3 of the boys attend the same day care and play together but because my 6 yr old is in 1st grade now he didn't get an invite. What do you think I should do, my oldest is hurt because he didn't get invited and like I said they are all friends.

I forgot to add a very important part. My youngest is in Kindergarden now and that boy is in his class. His entire class got an invite, there were no names on them at all. But because my oldest is not in that class he didn't get one.
Thanks for all your time on answering this.

My baby is due the end of Oct. and my boyfriend's dad (the grandpa) is an alcoholic. I dont want my daughter to be around him until he straightens up. He's been drinking non stop almost for over a year, and I dont want my daughter to have any part in that...I am trying my best to deal with it myself and not let him stress me out. You would think someone in their mid 60's would have their life together..but I guess not.

Am I wrong for not wanting him to be around my daughter at all??

thanks for any answers

Hi there. I'm 26 and currently a working professional (engineer). My confession is that I secretly just want to be a Mom! I don't really care about my job - I only went into engineering for the money and b/c I'm smart. I'm just waiting for the point at which it is the right time to start having babies, and then I feel like that's it, I'm leaving the professional world forever. Ideally I'd like to have a few kids then once they're old enough to be in school, start a daycare.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 2.5 years, we have a house, and he's an engineer to. But we won't be having kids for a few more years, after we're married. I've told him of my crazy ideas and he supports them and thinks it's great that I want to raise our kids. The women in his family are very career-oriented so I'm sure they will have their opinions (they wouldn't say them to my face though).

Am I nuts?!? The money in engineering is really good and I worked so hard for my degree!

This is purely hypothetical and something that was discussed in a sociology class. But, I would like to know others ideas.

Why is it that the working mother is portrayed negatively in the media and in also in some social circles? Do you believe that all the stereotyping of working class mothers is true? Why or Why Not?

Do you believe working class mothers are better or worse mothers then their stay home mom counterparts?

Do you believe working mothers really have a choice to work? Why or Why Not?

I know it probably doesn't seem like a big deal but i just think it's un-necessary pain but she really wants them done!

what age would you let your child get their ears pierced?

he came to me last night saying that i do too much and i need to focus on being a kid. i don't think i do to much. i help out where i am neeed. my mom passed away last year and since then, i've picked up where she has left off since my dad works full time. i'm the oldest child and have quite a few younger siblings. i wake up a 6, help get the younger kids ready for school while my dad fixes breakfast. then i take them to the bus stop while my dad gets the baby's ready for day care. after he leaves with the kids, i do my 3 hours of homeschool work, after that i help the other older kids with theirs. then i just do whatever (mostly laundry, it's never ending pile), or play guitar, kake care of my cousin, get on the computer, until the kids get back from school. then i make sure their homework and chores get done, until it's time to make dinner. when it's time for my soccer, dance/theatre/singing, or band practice. i'm fine, but he's all "you're doing to much, i'll hire someone". help!!!
