How do I get my husband to understand that even though he doesn't kick our almost 3 year old hard its still wrong? And its also wrong to put him down by calling him names? He doesn't see anything wrong with it.

He is being physically and emotionally abusive. You need to DEMAND he seek anger management, and parenting classes ASAP. Maybe remove yourself, and the children until he does.

you donot even try. that is abuse and against the law have your husband come on this site and see what others have to say about him. because if he was my husband and kicked or said insulting things to my child lord help him by the time I got done with his stupid a-s. he is a jerk and needs all these things done to him by a real man. because he is not a real man or a real father. lol

Move out with your 3 year old to some place safe and refuse to return until he's undergone serious therapy.

Kick your husband every time he p*sses you off (not in front of your child, obviously) and see how he likes it.

You don't get him to understand, you get the hell away from a man like this! You have a responsibility to your baby to save him from such a person.

You could call CPS or the police. That might give him a little more understanding.

yes that is teaching him to be mean and that isn't good you tell him that hes teaching him that and its not right he will grow up and bem ean or bully that is not what you all want and needt o talk to him about this problem of growing up and what you two want for him.

He is abusive. I would NEVER let ANYONE treat my children like that. Take your child and leave him until he can change his abusive ways.
