I am absolutely abismal at it. I figure it is because I lack enthusiasm, I have only ever been good at things I enjoy. I need a way to make housework seem fun and enjoyable and for it not to make me feel dirty (I am obsessed with my feet never getting dirt on them) and for it to be doable with a toddler following me around the house. How do I embrace being a housewife and actually do a good job of it? Where do I begin?

My mother didn't want children, and her mother didn't want children, (but had them to please their friends/family)
So I want to know if having children is really that bad? Was it what you expected? And would you take it back if you could?

I just realized that my son is growing out of his size 6's and he's only 2 (turned 2 at the end of June)! I need a size 7. I haven't really seen them in the stores. I would prefer Pampers but an open to any size 7s! Thanks!

Would you like your child to have your child have a security item like teddy bear, blanket, or pacifier.
My one child does and my other doesn't and I sometimes wish they both had one. Not really a question so much as a poll I guess. I know it may suck to get rid of but I honeslty think they are cute enough that they wouldn't be embarrased by them no matter how old they are

I have been trying hard for the past year and a half to get my 5 year old to take a shower by herself. She is always leaving shampoo or conditioner in her hair when she gets out....thats the main problem, she will spend forever in the shower and does a bad job washing her hair. I am always telling her not to take so long either because she messes around in there. So I am always watching and making sure she does it right. Half the time I have to wash her hair the right way. Because of the problems Im needing to know if I am expecting too much out of my 5 year old or shoud she be able to do this right every time.

Ok so we live in a 2 bedroom house. Me, my husband, my 3 year old daughter, and my 9 month old daughter.
The baby just moved from our bedroom to her sisters room a couple months ago which is great but she is teething and her night time waking is waking up the 3 year old. She also has to cry herself to sleep.
Now the 3 year old has just moved into our room which really solves nothing.
We are planning on having baby #3 so we can't have any kids in the bedroom while that is going on. LOL
But we also bought a sofabed so for the time being should my husband and I just take the sofabed and let everything be. We don't mind sharing a room with a baby in fact we love it . And we do plan on having a new house hopefully by the time the baby is one.

My son is 5 and has is first loose tooth. It has been loose for a few days now and I was wondering about how long till it comes out? He is really sensitive about it and won't let me try and wiggle it. I explained how great it was, he is a big boy now, a little money from the tooth fairy and everything I could think of. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

We are on the path to trying to conceive a second child...but these last few days I have been thinking what life will be like with another child. Our son is almost five...and is constantly suggesting we give him "a little brother" NOW!

I'm interested in your input if you have two (or more!) children...what was it like adding to your family and routine? Did you feel a hit financially? Is there ever a "perfect time" to have a second child?

Thank you in advance for your real-life experiences!

I'm sure it's nerves for some reason. By her biting her lip it's leaving a black mark right under her lip. Someone asked me, "is she getting abused, or hit in the mouth?" Her doctor told me to put vasaline under her mouth everday, it's not working. Any ideas?

I am a single parent and I do my job to make sure my kids have everthng they need to be comfortable. I help my kids with theiir homework daily and I expect for them to get straight A's. There only job is being a kid, doing homework and having fun. I am not strict, or mean and I get compliments from others (and the kids) about being a great mother. However I did not have this sort of dicipline in life and I want them to have every opportunity in life that I did not have. Good grades will get them there when the time is right. Am I wrong to expect straight A's and B's. My kids are 10, 9, and 3 . The 10 year old is the only one receviing letter grades right now

OK so my ex Chris.V posted a question that was saying that i'm a *****, and that i dont let him see his daughter etc.
he needs to realize that not only did he leave me, which hurt alot at the time, but he also left his DAUGHTER, and called her a mistake. She definetly was not a mistake just an unplanned blessing. I mean he hasn't been in her life for 2 1/2 years, and when he finally asked to see her its not like i denied him that. I am trying to give him a chance but he needs to realize what he did.
I ask you people this : what should i do if he takes me to court for visitation rights?

i think its funny-although annoying at times, that my son has heaps of toys all over the living room, if im there he plays with them and does his thing, but once i get up to go to an other part of the house he follows me everywhere..even when i go toilet..he stays outside the door and waits for me to come out..sometimes he knocks and knocks until i come out. But he doesnt follow his dad around. Only me..why? haha.. his 13 months old.

well i baby-sit for these bratty kids. they behave so bad. their mom gave me full permission to spank them. she said to give them a warning and if they don't listen, take them over my knee and pull down their pants and spank them till their butt turns red. i dont know if i feel comfortable giving them spankings but i have given a couple before with a bare butt. do you think i should keep giving them until they behave or not? what do you think? thanks in advance.

I have a male friend who is single with a 12 year old daughter. His daughter is paralyzed from the waste down and is in a wheel chair. The mother dissappeared from the picture when she was 2. Well what I dont like is that he assists her with a bath everyday and sees her in the nude. The girl has started to develop breast. Now I dont believe he is touching her in anyway inappropriate as father and daughter love each other very much. He says he cannot afford to hire a female to help with this and I am not available to help. He says he is going to construct some kind of system so she can do everything herself but he says he is trying to save the money and find the time. I tried talking to his daughter but she got uncomfortable and made an excuse to leave. I tried talking to the father and he got uncomfortabl and finally got upset and told me to quit adding fuel to this fire. When he rolls her into the bathroom he will get the water right to her taste and then he will help remove her

I am baby sitting my friend's two years old daughter for an hour. She is adorable, but I do not want to have a baby.

I very much love babies. They are adorable and cute. However, I am scared of giving birth. I do not want to run after them. I do not want to change diapers. I do want to hear babies cry.

I am 22 years old. Am I normal? Will I change my perspective about giving birth and babies? Have you ever feel like this before?

Thank you very much for your advice.

to see how she was driving because she has recently got her drivers license and I wanted to see how she was driving. I followed her and she pulled up to an alley and I saw her having sex with a boy in our car. I decided I am home schooling her and never allowing her outside the house until she turns 18, then she can do whatever she wants. What is another approach?

Do you think that 'time out' or 'taking a toy away' or 'ignoring them & letting them be hellions' are the only alternatives to spanking?

Most pro-spanking answers I've seen say that they spank because 'time out' doesn't work, as if that were their only choice as parents - either spank -or- timeout.

If children had a better understanding of sex from a much younger age, would it be beneficial to them or not as they grow up? Would it be better to be honest with children right from the moment that they first ask us where babies come from, answering all the questions they have as honestly and as openly as we possibly can? Or would this cause problems?
