My son is 5 and has is first loose tooth. It has been loose for a few days now and I was wondering about how long till it comes out? He is really sensitive about it and won't let me try and wiggle it. I explained how great it was, he is a big boy now, a little money from the tooth fairy and everything I could think of. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

It can take a week or more! My son was also sensitive about it and too late I realized that it would have been best to just back off... I was wrapped up in seeing that tooth come out so that it would not bother him when he ate, but by doing that, I ended up making the situation worse. The second tooth I handled by leaving it alone and by asking him questions about it, telling him about my tooth memories, reassuring him about any fears he had (like what happens when there is a whole). It was a far better experience for both of us! :)

No need to rush. :) My daughter just lost a couple herself, she's also 5. She's a wiggler, though, so they ended up coming out sooner than expected, LOL.

Just like babies will come when they're ready... the teeth will fall out when ready. ;)

Don't worry about it... why rush it? He will play with it, and it will fall out soon.
