yep! :) before my son came along I had a case full of CDs I kept in my car. Suddenly I was finding practically every CD I owned contained some lyrics that I would NOT want my son learning!! I had to weed through my collection, pull out anything inappropriate and replace it with the wiggles :) lol

I have been SHOCKED a few times to hear the music other parents are playing with their children in the car. It's appalling!

I agree! The music and the movies that I like to listen to may not always be appropriate for my toddlers. They pick up on everything. When we are in the car together I try to put on something that is ok for them to listen to. I also try to expose them to different kinds of music so that they can learn and appreciate all types, not just what is popular!

Well depends on the age of the child if the child is small they shouldnt listen to any music with bad words cause they will copy. Now if the child is older like in the teens they listen to whatever they want. There is only so much you could do in that case.

I certainly agree. My daughter and I went on a church picnic with my friend and her daughter, we were sitting there eating and talking and out of no where my friends daughter starts singing " Move b*** get out the way".(by rapper Ludacris) It was horrible. I am extremely cautious when it comes to what my daughter listens to, and now so is my friend!

absolutely!

We don't realize just how impressionable our kids are, and how much even a "harmless" son can effect them.

I think very carefully every time I put a song on for my son!

Only when your child is around. But yes, you do it naturally because you don't want your child to hear certain language.
